Making custard concentrate?

Theoretically can you make your own from vanilla and cream flavours? Anyone done it? I have vanilla and creams I have been pondering this

The eggs are actually egg yolk - fat - which is where the flavour comes from

If you've ever made real custard you'll know it tastes nothing like the Bird's custard that eliquids simulate, so in fact your original idea wouldn't be too far away from real custard. If you use plenty of vanilla it could compensate.

I'm all smarty pants now, but a couple of years ago I tried this, using egg nog flavouring and it was vile.
