So I'm looking at possibly getting a Vision eGo starter kit for my first foray into vaping.

Firstly, what are drip tips? Would I be right in thinking they drip the fluid onto the atomiser so you don't have to refill cartridges? If so, if I were to get a drip tip, do I need anything else to compliment it or what?

Secondly, my boyfriend likes the idea of vaping like smoking a pipe- can you get mouthpieces that allow this?

Thirdly, any recommendation about extras/accessories I should buy along with the starter kit and liquids? I want my vape-stick to look awesome and stand out. I have read that getting a second battery is a good idea too.

A drip tip is just the name for the mouth piece. Some come with wider holes so that you can drip liquid onto an atomiser (if you drip verses filling cartomiser/clearomisers) It is best to remove drip tips to fill clearomisers or carto's otherwise you risk flooding them.

You can also buy E-Pipes.

Deffo have a second or third battery on hand at all times. The Ego starter kit is a great place to start!

What's the difference between a cartomiser and a clearomiser?

Clearomisers are clear and most of the time use a wick to get juice to the coil, whereas a cartomiser uses a filler material to keep wet.

Boge cartomisers are among the better ones, and Ce4/Ce5, Vivi Nova's are the better clearos
