micro coil question.

So I've seen all the coil building on you tube etc, and when testing the coil, it gets red from the middle of the coil and spreads out.....well I've just built one and the tails of the coil got red first! What does that mean?

It's shorting out mate.
Make sure posts are fully tightened and the legs are not touching the deck or outside of the posts etc.

What was the resistance?

Oh....Ok...Lol.....resistance was 1-1.......Anyway, scrapped that coil and built another which seems to be burning the right way, although resistance on this is .6, even though used same amount of coils 5/6 as have previously used and got around 1-5....

Then that was definitely a coil leg not being securely... secured... xD
