mini nova issues!

so there was no end of praise for mini nova's and vivi nova's on every forum ever on the whole internets saying they get consistent vapes and clouds of vapour, so i got a totally wicked branded mini nova kit with the two spare heads.
At first it seemed ok but after using it with my gv juice for my daily work driver i've noticed when pick it up for my first pull its great cloud of vapour and nice taste, however i tend to have 5 or 6 pulls one after the other and after 2 pulls the thoat hit increases and vapour decreases massively, the tank itself seems to get very hot after a few pulls and doesnt function very well at all until its left to cool down a few minutes.

btw its running a 1.8 atty set at 7 watts so around 3.5/3.6v

1) is this an issue with all nova's or is mine dodgy? (i dont have this problem with ce5 clearomizers)
2) would putting a 2.4 or 2.8 atty in stop this from happening (i wouldnt have thought this would help as they will also be set to 7 watts which is the exact same voltage going through the 1.8)

The only Novas that worked properly for me have been the original Vision Vivi Novas all other just sucked........

I've actually started testing the Nove V9 yesterday. It's possibly the best one I've tried yet. We've given a few out for people to try too so if the verdict is good maybe we can stock them. Not found any faults yet, though keep in mind all products are mass produced and sometimes the odd few can get faults with them.

sounds like you need to change the coil mate, its either wound too tight and not wicking properly or its shorting.
I just had the same issue with a brand new SMOK PYREX vivi nova, re built the coil with some 2mm silica and kanthal and its much better.

had same issue and in my case it's the wick getting full of gunk. you could try steeping the head in hot water and leaving it out to dry natural in the air (just remember to take off the silicon tip) that was a tip from @Mawsely .

I mainly vape around 7 to 8 watts on all my nova's got 3 mini and 2 large and the ohms all range from 1.8 to 2.4 still using original heads on 2 of them and others re-wicked @ 2.1

the best ones are the vision ones tho by a long way (still got original heads after 4 weeks of use just by washing & air drying when changing juice)

My experience with the novas is just that the heads that you get with them would only last for a few days maybe a week if I was lucky , and they would not always be the true ohms that was printed on the side. I've had both the real and copy heads and tanks but all the same .

Also different liquids, not so much brands but flavors would cause different amounts of gunk buildup so I gave in and started to re coil my own

In the last two weeks I've been using a dream Atty and after the initial set up I must say its a good replacement so maybe give one a go as I'm getting shed loads of vapor nice throat hit , and all on a 2 ohm coil at 6-7 watts
