mix help, novice alert

hi all
silly stupid question time

i mixed juice on 15/5/14 caramel/banana/ bavarian cream, vg only ,and a little sweetener only pg from nic + flavours

i mixed today, vamp vape 50/50 pg vg
tried them both
both taste salt of dry in the mouth
i no i need to steep longer but both got the same dry taste
boots vg
tpa flavours
distilled water in the first mix at 10%
any advice please

Im quiite new to mixing but have mixed vamp vape twice now...to me it tastes a little peppery when first mixed but leave it to steep for around a week and the flavour mellows out fine..I mixed it at 15% 60pg/40vg...

i mixed at 15% 50/50
the bit that confuses me is the previous different flavoured mix
has the same dry mouth type flavour to it
could it be boots pg ??
or am i missing somthing ??

Ive no idea whats causing the dry taste,not come across that yet...A more experienced mixer will be able to help you sort it out.

The dry taste will be from 10% water and 50% PG...If your flavours are in PG as well and you dont take that into account, your looking at being closers to 60 or 70% PG...which is where the dry taste will come from.

Leave out the water...there really isnt a need for it if you have that much PG in your mixes.

i only used water in the first mix no pg added to this mix all vg
except pg in the nic & tpa flavours

second mix, no water 50/50 pg vg using potv calculator

i.am wondering if vg from vape shop would give a better taste
i'am using boots which is why i thinned the first mix at 10%

its a similar underlying taste to them both

I use VG from boots and never thin it out, even at 80VG and 20PG and I dont have dry vapes.

i will be using it mainly in the fogger v4 and pos a kracken
would no thinning work ,do you think

Sure why not? I use a Kayfun
