Mixing VG + Flavours and Water for dillution. No PG.

To begin this thread and although i talk about this... almost all mixes i make have a card-boardy taste to them. I am at a loss as what the culprit maybe..

and with that said, lets start the thread.

for a 10ml container. I wanna put two flavors in it with VG.
The flavoring has PG ... I dont know their percentage but the flavors do have PG. and besides, i have no PG in the crap country i am in right now. its $100 dollars for 500mil. lets skip PG.

Now.
is this equation correct?

6ml VG
then 2.5 split up between the two flavours, strawberry and banana.
then the rest, 1.5 water.

Yet when I make this I get a cardboardy taste. I have tried organic cotton as well as regular unwashed cotton. I am not sure the cardboardy taste ... I am however still leaning towards the cotton being the culprit?

Please help me out. I am bad at math and the calculators online all wanna put nicotine and pg when i dont have those and dont want them to begin with.

I tried with and without. i am in a pickle. and getting rather frustrated tbh.

Let me elaborate.

I dont have any nicotine locally here to buy. so thats why i left it out.
I do however have chinese 30mil strawberry bottles that have concentration of nic at 18mg. Can i use that?

In regards to the flavourings. this is also a pickle. I am picking what they have in the market. The bottles they give me from (i buy 100mil for 2 dollars) .. the big 1 litter they give me from is a jordanian company made. it has no water and no alcohol and says it has PG in it as well as Ethyl Maltol. The company is called "United Flavours & Frangrances"

Now. there is another company of which flavours are available. I plan on going tomorrow to get some of their flavours to try out. i have tried contacting them with no response.
Its called [scentium-flavours](http://www.scentium-flavours.com/) ... the bottles at the stores lack any info on the ingredients.

so as you can see. i am screwed. unless i can find a company that will ship to baghdad/iraq i am willing to buy flavourings.
in the meantime i wanna work with what i have. if its possible.

My relatively limited experience is that flavourings are very unstable and can easily go bad / dull or nasty. Sunlight is no good for them for example. I wonder if you might be able to get hold of menthol out there from a pharmacy. Perhaps you could make something vape able with that or even have a go at making your own flavour concentrates? It can be done.

i just discovered the source of my problem. LOL it was sooooo unpredictable.

it was the f'king banana flavour that had the whole mix of tones in flavour. it was toxic alcohol.
i took the lid off the flavour bottle and decided to just take a tiny taste. i went and tested all of them one by one. banana was the source of the issue.

OMG i swear when i tasted the banana i was dizzy. literally! it gave me a buzz.

i went through then the rest and guess what? the milk custard one sooooo good it was beautiful.

the remaining flavours i had were all ok too (the new brand that is, scentium-flavourings)

ok so i put cotton in the wick and vaped the milk custard whatever it is.
when i smelt the bottle it was sweet and pleasant ...when i vaped it it lost some of its sweetness not too much though. i guess because one of two things... (1) heating it? or (2) i didnt put much in the bottle cause i was just trying it out.

not sure.

also, in the pic. is this normal? it turned dark brown. the coil and the cotton. 37Watts. LOTS of vapor! single coil. @0.7ohms.
