Mod read wrong ohm

Hi all,

I was vaping today and all of a sudden it asked me if i put in a new load, i pressed + as i always do as no point pressing no but when i turned it off then on again it asked me again so i was abit worried.

Another thing is the coil is 0.3 and after vaping i looked at the mod and it read 0.7.

But then i took out the coil and re inserted it and now back to normal.

Bit worried thats all, do you think i should get a new one

What mod? What atty? People will need to know to help. I've heard many answers on here though, I think the main one would be are your post screws tight?

its a VIP Tense, basically a vaporesso tarot nano re badged

In future il make sure the tank and mod the 510 is screwed nice and tight and clean it

Had you actually put a new load in, or did it just ask you out the blue? Make sure the coil is screwed in tight is all I could suggest. But do t worry I doubt it will be dangerous.

I didnt put a new load in, it just asked me again which was odd and the ohms adjusted by itself which was odd from 0.3 to 0.7

The coils you cant screw in the base of the tank, you just push/pull the coils in the base of the tank, they use the veco tank -

Make sure the coil is fully 'seated' anyhow though, also try cleaning the 510 connector (part that screws onto the mod,) this can affect the ohm read if it's dirty. You can clean it with electronic contact cleaner (servisol) or meths.

Issue you describe is not dangerous or a real problem though, just 'hot swap" the atty till you get the right ohm reading.

I do this with my work mod (old Coolfire +), it's a pain in the arse as it fluctuates from 0.25 to 0.7/0.8 but too tight to buy a new mod. I know it's not the RDA because my Drag reads it perfectly when I get home.

Just sounds like a loose or dirty contact to me. Clean the tank where the coil sits and the coil and especially the 510 thread on the tank and the mod.
