I've been vaping for a few months and am getting fed up with my evod 650 already and am looking at getting a vv/vw mod soon.

My mate has just bought a vamo v5 and thus is clearly a massive upgrade on my kit, but not sure I really want to shell out 50 quid yet.

Any suggestions for a good first vv mod?

Can't go wrong with a Vamo V5, was my first VV and never had any issues, vaped like a charm. You should be able to pick one up cheaper than 50, there's a few on ebay around 40 for the whole kit inc batteries/charger. I saw quite a good one with a nitecore i2 charger and efest batteries for about 55. This is personal preference mind :)

You might also want to look into any of the innokin VV3, MVP's or SVD's. You can pick those first 2 for around the same price. The SVD can as well but it's not the full kit. Do some searching around and I'm sure you can find them in the price range you're looking for.

MVP from myepack if there still on offer. My brand new SVD lasted 4 weeks before the trigger button collapsed YMMV.

I've seen the MVPs at my epack. What are the pros / cons to these compared to the vamos. Presumably as a box mod you can't replace the battery on an MVP?

I went for an MVP from myepack, got it for under 40 quid. Battery not replaceable but built to last. Great piece of kit, simple to use (massive plus for me!) and the multi purpose charger does my iPhone, Samsung as well as the battery. Extra advantage is that the battery can be used as a charging unit itself for those devices.

Mine came with an iclear30 tank, no issues with that and will take a variety of 510 threaded tanks.

Really solid piece of kit IMO

My vamo still going strong after almost a year. Good bit of kit, just quite big.

Itaste vv3 here and works a dream, battery life is not the best but suits me fine

I have a Vamo v5 which is good but I find it quite big and mainly use it at home but for out an' about I LOVE my Innokin itaste VTR takes IMR 18650 battery and the new iclear 30s is just awsome IMO. A lot of people have commented on the heavy weight of the VTR but it's just something that you get used too. I nice solid reliable vv/vw box mod. I totally recommend it :2thumbsup:
