I'm posting this in the hope it will help someone else in the same situation.
My MVP stopped working this morning and I was left without anything to vape. As an interim measure I popped down to a shop I found on-line and bought an Ego Twist. This evening I found a cure to my problem.
I seems that the MVP has a design flaw. The positive pin in the 510 connector can get pushed in too far and stick. This can make it impossible for the atty to make contact.
One solution is to take a small screwdriver and gently lift the connector, it doesn't move very far.
Another much harder solution is to undo the four torx screws (T6 or T7) on the top plate and gently lift off. Warning the connections to the 510 connector are relatively fragile. The centre pin can now be pushed up. You could epoxy it at this point but that is up to you.
Hope this helps.
