Hello fellow apes

So I started with some TC builds and they were hit and miss, but when they hit they were good!

Got myself some SS316L from @stealthvape and I was mightily impressed! Thought that's it found what I want, but...

Then I won a comp, massive credit and thanks to @EmbraSewerRat & @ I got some NiFe and what can I say, even with my shit building ability the NiFe I found to be excellent.

Saw @danb here and he has PM'd some build advice, I hasten to add about wire etc and not how I can control my 12 thumbs to get an even spaced coil!

So to cut a long (drunk) story short...what was I saying?

Ah that was it I said I would post my builds so:

So first one I'm posting is....

Crius with dual 29AWG NiFe 30 8 spaced (uneven due to aforementioned reasons and maybe some gin!) wraps.

Found it to be far better than any of the numerous builds I've had on it and cannot see why this tank has flown under the radar!

Did the Crius fly under the radar? I thought it had sold well and was very well regarded by most. Shows you what I know. I liked the Crius, or at least I would have if it hadn't disturbed the neighbours with the sound of its airflow. A real shame. Preferred the Griffin but it suffered from similar problems and was actually no less shit than the Crius.
Still, great deck for building TC coils, no question. I think @cheltenham cat loves the Crius with NiFe30 also.

I do indeed a very similar build to @paulbee dual 8 or 9 wraps of 28awg 2.5mm ID set quite low down on the deck. I've found thats what suits me I've also found that subtle changes such as a larger Id can ruin the vape. Id agree with @Mr Numpty that far from flying under the radar it proved quite popular and then all that happens is the next 'best thing since sliced bread' comes along and everyone gets all giddy and Hoover's them up and then realises they bought the hype or at best marginal gains

Mrs cat asked the other day if I wanted a new tank for my birthday and y'know having spent a few days looking at new stuff like Griffin's moonshots vcmts avacados theorems aromamimamimamizers et al I'm beginning to think I'll not bother

Damn TC...
Paul you have more time and patience then bud... well done.
I keep revisiting TC time to time but with very little joy...

Post pics or the kitten gets it. :D

Hate cats so go for it! No offence @cheltenham cat

I just thought the crius did fly under the radar but then again I suppose you're right the next big thing comes along.

I'm using a UD coil jig but find it easier to and wrap it. Got another mini jig thing but not tried that yet.

@used_gear if say it's worth it, have you tried NiFe? Can send you some if you want some.

Thanks bud, when my scars heal from previous attempts and I'm mentally ready for it again - I'll PM you for some tips

So I thought as a way of spacing I'd wrap 2 stands of NiFe 30 side by side, and I'm pretty impressed by the spacing! Shoot picture but you get the idea!

Nice. Another, easier method is to gently stretch the coil using fingernails at each end of it while it is on the rod, then push it back together again. With a little practice in how much to stretch it you'll get great results. Once you wick the coils you can also take a micro flathead screwdriver and push the wraps around for perfect spacing. NiFe30 is very forgiving in that respect.
