My first tentative steps into diy, a couple of questions

Firstly what's the 'best' sweetener to use in fruit flavours and what's the stuff that gives Digbys 'Hooligan' and LiQuid Cola that sherbet fizzy tingle?

I picked a few fruit concentrates up in a trade, so I bought a few bottles of LiQuid Cloud 'no flavour' which is VG/PG and nic premixed, just so I could have a play without busting out loads of cash to find it's not for me.

so anyway, I was just gonna add some fruits and maybe some sweetener and fizz but I don't have sweetener or fizz.

Fizz - you could try adding Champagne? http://vapable.com/product/champagne-perfumers-apprentice-flavour-concentrate/
Sweetener - I think most folk use Ethyl Maltol http://vapable.com/?s=ethyl+maltol&post_type=product, or I'm sure there's a concentrate called super sweet too...I'll find a link for that gimme a sec...http://vapable.com/?s=super+sweet&post_type=product. I've also heard Stevia mentioned as a sweetener but I'm not too sure how that works tbh.
I just found this link to 'secret ingredients' and mixing tips and tricks...http://e-liquid-recipes.com/master-mixers-tips-and-tricks I've not read thru it myself but it looks interesting so I've bookmarked it to read later.

Good luck with the mad scientists mixing experiments! I've just been doing a bit of that myself just finished cleaning up the kitchen and have 5 new concoctions steeping Let us know how you get on

Thanks @yappycat .... I'll have a mooch about I guess, I'll try some flavours first anyway but if it's too sharp I know what to look for. I never realised how quiet it is down the bottom of the forum

I should thank you actually - I learned a lot from that tips and tricks article I spotted while I was getting those flavour links for you it was really interesting. You might know this already but if you make an account with this recipe resource site http://e-liquid-recipes.com/ you can add your flavour concentrates to your 'stash' and then search for recipes based on what you have to hand already, I just learned that myself a few days ago Most of the recipes it will suggest for you will be rubbish like single flavour concentrate test recipes but even those can be handy to help you figure out what kind of percentages you might want to use in your own mix, some are alright and I have a Blueberry Cheesecake mix steeping that I made yesterday based on a recipe suggestion it threw at me.

And yes, it's nice and quiet here...none of that 'advanced 2000w MEGA mod' talk going on

I have a lot of reading to do ..... ah well I'm in no rush really, so I'll just read as much as possible and go from there.

I just use TPA sweetener in my mixes but I don't tend to mix plain fruits so not sure how it would turn out . A lot of people use EM but I haven't found the need yet.
Koolada gives you the cold feeling like a milkshake but not sure about fizz, sorry.
