My next.......

I started my next regulated mod today, I hope to have the board next week (it is in the UK). 6000mAh powering an Alien (DNA clone) 50Watt board with TC.

It looks more than it is....5x 3.7Volts @ 1200mAh with a c15 rating = 18Amps per cell (low drain requirement over 5 cells considering the board only demands 30Amps total at peak), total 6000mAh. Overkill for a 50Watt T/C board but what the hell. This will be my second REG mod......the next one is on the board, Burr Walnut veneer, brass plate and bar ordered...haven't decided on the board yet.....Yihi, DNA200 or clone, time will tell. The clones look good but I will see how this board works before I take the plunge.

To be honest that isn't bad specs at all really, plenty of overhead as well (always a good thing to see). I will be watching this as i am intrigued with what you think of the board, ive not found many reviews of it but am interested in trying it.

Thanks, well I have built a cloned DNA30..the board was £21.00 delivered so I gave it a go...and to be honest, bang for the buck it is great. The only thing is that after a few mins it goes into standby mode so when you hit the fire button you get a clone Evolv sign before it fires...I can handle that, it works great! So we will see with this next board... a 50Watt board with TC for £23.00 or so delivered, we will see.....it is nearly 50% cheaper than a 40Watt DNA!

I cant remember now..but the same company sells a 160Watt TC board for around £40.00 (I think?).... so maybe I might build on that at around 20% cheaper than a Yihi or DNA 200 Beta board????? We will see!

Ok....so I finished this today. Alien NX050 50W T/C board, 6000mAh via 5 lipo packs. I think it is working ok but I shall have to get used to the setting...anyone interested in the board? I will no doubt post what I think about it when I have sussed it out. The date stamp is out on my pics...haven't used it in three years!!!

I certainly am interested in your opinion on the board. It looks promising but I haven't got the cash right now to waste on what may be a risky move. Have to say that the build does look sweet. How much does it weigh and what was the final cost?
