Hi! I'm new on the forum so this is just a post to introduce myself and how vaping has affected me so far!
I'm 27 years old, a self employed wall and floor tiler and I live on the Isle of Wight. I had smoked cigarettes (then mainly roll ups) from the age of 13. Living on the island and the slow pace of life here we are often late to the party and late last year our first brick and mortar vaping shop opened. (There is now 3!)
After moving in with my longterm girlfriend - a non smoker, in September I was really looking to give up the fags as I didn't see it fair on her stinking the gaff out. So I went in the shop and the guy there hooked me up with a starter kit and dekang juices. I stuck it out for about 8 weeks but to be honest it never really satisfied my needs and I felt the products I was using were rather cheaply made. I ended up breaking 2 of the ego batteries in my pocket then went out drinking one night and cracked and that was it... Back on the fags. :-(
Fast forward to beginning of March. I go to a job and a chippy I know had a provari and a genesis atty. He insisted I try it as I was outside in the rain sucking on my soggy roll up. ... Wow I was blown away by the flavour and the actual hit I got from it. After much discussion and questions he gave me an I clear 30s tank which I put on my old battery and I ordered a SVD and now I'm hooked and feel like I will never go back to the fags.
I actually enjoy vaping way more than smoking although I think I've spent way more on it then I would of on fags this year already I see it as more of a hobby too. I'm learning fast and YouTube is my bible at the mo but I'm hoping to pick up a lot from these forums.
Where I'm at now:
I use a provari mini with a kayfun light+ as my all day set up with a micro coil and organic cotton. Been buying most my juices from LT ecigs at 10mg Nic (I used 18mg before on the dekang and now realise this was too high for me personally) digging custard flavours at mo and have just ordered some digbys mums custard - can't wait to try!
I still have my svd and use it at home as an alternative with and Igo w on top. I also have an aga t3 but I found this a little annoying to use.
After a few weeks of research I want to try mechanical mods so have ordered a stingray clone and a vertex by the boss mod dropper for strictly at home use. I didn't want to sort hundreds on a genuine and end up not using it. I have also ordered a decent charger (Xtar vp1) and some 30amp Sony batteries as I'm aware of the risks involved and want to stay safe!
