I'm very interested in building an extremely powerful battery box mod,or buying one such as the Grand Innovations GI2 (100 watts) so any devices I see posted here on POTV get me reading avidly. As a result,I've decided to swap from 18650 batteries to some kind of LiPo type batteries as these LiPo batteries seem to have insane "C" ratings. As this device I intend building is going to be around the 100 watts capability,I also want it to have variable power so I can use "standard" wire sizes as well as "fence wires" for my coils.
This was where I was struggling,as the most powerful variable device I'd seen was the DNA30's which runs to a feeble 30 watts. Then I heard about a couple of projects using PCB's such as the Arduino which also controlled OLED/LCD screens etc,and yet more devices using R/C speed controllers, but these projects seemed to be complex and often buggy, resulting in failures of the device.
It was suggested I had a look at some other vaping forums to see what the modders were using, but last time I'd been on other forums the majority of other devices were still only 30 watts max, with an occasional 50 watts.
Then earlier,I was wandering round the other forums where I stumbled on this http://apps.geindustrial.com/publibrary/checkout/NSR020A0X?TNR=Data Sheets|NSR020A0X|generic <------NAOS Raptor 20A module so went looking for places to buy one. They can be bought in the UK for about £13,there is a wiring diagram on another forum(though I would be inclined to use much heavier gauge wires for some of the wiring)so my thoughts of building a mental VV box mod just got so much closer to happening.
Once I have built this mod,I will resume quad coiling my W3 as this mod will be able to light up all 4 coils rapidly even if I use 1mm ribbon wires & steal the title off Rags as the most mental RDA user
