I've got arthritic hands and several times when I've needed to refill/clean my Nautilus it's been very difficult to unscrew the base. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how they solved it?

Yes... The trick is to get the tank snug and not tight onto the lower seal. I've often have over tighten the stem as well, making cleaning next to impossible. This is something you are just going to have to learn to do on your own, that way you can get a feel for what is snug. If you get into another bind and need help, use an Allen wrench or something of a good hard steel, insert it into the vent port of the tank to keep the base from turning. That could give you some leverage to removing the tank.
