I was wondering about doing this for a while seeing as my subtank mini was getting a little bit old and I don't use it much I thought what the heck. Was feeling like a brushed finish and knew the recessed kangertech logo and recessions around the air flow would retain the black. Thought I'd grab some wet and dry (1000) grit and give it a go. Carefully I've ended up with a quite satisfying result now it matches perfectly with my brushed steel case I've just got for my next build. On that note, I initially built a dual 18650 (series) box now looking to build a VW maybe even bridge into DNA, want to hear what you guys have built and get some inspiration!
