wooo - watch this:

it's the damn burrs on the bottom of the switch!

filed em down and now I'm back to the spring! works great :-)

(those damn magnets were just too weak)

Two cheapo ft magnets were too weak for mine in 650 with a full tank, I just stuck three in the switch and my nems great now. They do break easy though so I'm considering getting some stronger magnets to replace them soon (stronger so they don't break, and stronger magnetism so I can use two of em). I have a habit of dropping things so it's only a matter of time...

i tried 3 but pushed it up too far for me, and was a wee bit too strong

that fix also smoothed it out with the magnets too though!
 
Tried it but still get crunch even with magnets but no where near as bad with spring

you sure u rubbed it down good n proper?

actually with flat top battery it better than button

u using nippled ones?

Flat top and got magnets in and usesd a dremel but don't wanna go to far and mess it up lol

i used a right old heavy duty file - get it bevelled!

I cannot believe that after all this time I actually now have a nemesis button that isnt clunky!!!!! many, many thanks!!
