i have a brand new out of the box Vamo V5 but it's got issues. :thud:

using BRC 18650 Ultrafire 4000mAh 3.7v li-ion battery and a Protank 3.

I'm having major trouble booting it up.

It gets to the stage of 'System: on' after 5 clicks of the power button, and i can hold down the + and - button to get the menu up (10 sec) but then it decides that that is as far as it will go. I cannot get a vape out of it at all.

If i press the power button after the menu it just blanks and i have to take the battery out to reboot.

It also seems to stop working when i put a tank on.
I hope there is someone here who's had a similar issues with a fix
or is it faulty and i should send it back?

Have you tried another attie, just in case it's that? Just an idea, probably not, but worth a try.

I've got mine in front of me if that helps.

i have some protected and some unprotected batteries..what you describe (and i have read what you wrote) is what i see when i put my el cheapo protected batteries in the vamo.

i realise yours arent protected, but i did find this review of your batteries
http://www.amazon.co.uk/review/R3JN...annel=detail-glance&nodeID=560834&store=photo
please try some other batteries first before going the refund/return route on the vamo

tx ive got sum el expensivo batteries on order but they havent arrived yet, i'll keep that in mind.

Hi mate,

Sorry to hear about your Vamo not working, I have a few spare 18650's that work fine in my V5, pm me your name and address and I will send you one to try, hopefully you will get it by Christmas.

I should mention that they are from a new laptop battery I bought earlier this year that never fitted the laptop and I never got round to sending it back so I dismantled it a week ago for the batteries and they work and charge no problem :grin2:
