I better state right at the beginning I have not got a clue about this but I have just purchased a Gold DIIY Mixing Kit from the Alchemists Cupboard. The two concentrates I picked were Vanilla Custard and Cinnamon Danish. Do I need to purchase anything else to get started or am I ready to go once my kit arrives. I know I will probably need other additives but thought if I purchase a kit I can add to it once I get advice from people that know what they are talking about. So it is over to you.

I'm relatively new to mixing myself, but happy to try and help. I'm not sure what came in your kit but you'll want some syringes, because I normally only make up 10ml bottles I mainly use a 1ml and 2.5ml syringe. I'm guessing the kit comes with vg, pg and nic. These, along with any flavourings/sweeteners etc are all you need. Oh, except for some empty bottles. Ethyl Maltol is used by many, including myself in a lot of mixes. I have been using 1drop/ 10ml bottle in everything so far, I have had good mixes and ok mixes, but nothing I wouldn't Vape yet. Check the stickie in this section to read lots of varying views on it. I bought a bottle of pre-made from alchemists cupboard, mainly because I was just starting out and didn't want to have to have to make the EM up myself. If you want flavours that you can pretty much vape straight away try some fruits/mints/menthol ones. Custards/creams/desserts take a while to steep. I use e-Liquid Calculator :: New recipe for my mixing calculator, other good calculators are available! if you are looking at experimenting with custard type flavours, I would recommend Bavarian cream or sweet cream and some dulce de leche. Generally it might be worth having some kind of sweetener I use capella's 'super sweet'). Oh, safety first, your nic concentrate needs to be handled really carefully, I bought gloves but decided to just not get the nic on me instead of using them. Excuse all my waffle, there are plenty here with much more experience, also worth reading through some of the mixology threads for recipe ideas etc. good luck with it, keep us all posted

Oh, and there is a recipe section at the top of mixology, as well plenty online, including the recipe making link I gave you.
