Hi everyone.
I wanna get off the tobacco. I've tried various ecigs, usually the ones sold at Petrol stations and tesco n that. Problem is they turn out to be expensive and unreliable and in my opinion, not potent enough.
I could do with some advice as to what to buy. I want something portable, very good build quality and something that's not going to disappoint me when I use it. I saw this http://www.vape-space.co.uk/seego-g-hit-mega-3802-p.asp but I'm unsure as to weather it would be a good purchase (quality n that).
Any suggestions?
What do you all use and where do you buy from?
More than anything, I want something that is made well, reliable, looks good, and makes me feel like I'm actually smoking something.
Thanks for reading, and I'll look forward to reading your advice, suggestions and help.

Cheers. Rob.

Firstly check out the Marketplace (top of page) before buying anything. Then its down to what/how many fags you smoked to match the juice strength needed.

That's not really helping me . I kinda like the mods but have no idea what I'm looking for lol

Many people start off with an ego battery and a clearomiser tank for your juice. I still use mine 2 months later. They are great little starter kits. Replacement tanks are a reasonable price, you get a better vape from them and a longer battery life than the e-cig-a-likes that you can buy form garages etc. I tried them about 3 years ago and found them too pricey and no option back then for different flavours. The vaping world has moved on leaps and bounds since then. The world's your oyster.
I moved on from those CE4 type clearos a week after vaping and now use evods and pro tanks. You can rebuild your own heads or buy replacement heads which are very reasonably priced.

have a look at something like this; http://myepack.co.uk/review/product/list/id/693/category/11/

There are several 'levels' to vaping:

- Cigalikes (where you are now).

- Ego style combos - something like this: http://myepack.co.uk/evod-starter-kit.html

- VV / VW devices like vamos

- Mods.

Many people move from cigalikes to the ego style combos and are very happy and don't need to go further. They are small and fit in pockets etc easily. They give out a set level of power that you cannot change.

Some people then want to have more control of the power delivery, so progress onto VV / VW devices. With these you can alter the volt or wattage delivery.

Then some people move on to mods. You don't alter the power delivery on these, but they use larger more powerful batteries.

I would recommend a basic ego battery set-up to start with. If you don't have any kit yet, then buy a starter kit as that will contain all the basics you will need, bar the juice. Try these out for a while and you may find these suit you fine. If later you want to buy something else, you can still use your ego as a spare or out and about device.

Edit: As Midnight suggests, Evod or Protanks are worth getting, they work well, last well, don't leak and the heads are replaceable.

I've only been vaping since the start of the month. I started out on the cig-o-likes (they are a starting point).
I'm using a Vision Spinner 1100mah and Evod, can't fault it, not had a hot one since I started vaping.

Hi dee101! Welcome to the Planet! :welcome1:
Midnight and Blossom have given you some great advice and links to get you going so I won't add any more, just wanted to welcome you!

Firstly welcome here to Planet of the Vapes, best forum in the Universe :welcome1: anything that stops you craving and keeps you off those awful cigalikes is good, the marketplace here is great and you will get some good deals, my advice is not to jump in for a mod straight away - I've been from a basic eGo, up to the Vamo's then onwards after that, ended up back with my eGo-C Twist which I absolutely love (to each their own of course), take a look at the marketplace and as a newbie off the cigalikes, try a double kit for instance or like me, go for a eGo-C Twist (variable voltage), goes from 3.2v-4.8v and as each flavour ia different and all our taste buds are different, you can match you flavours to suit your taste buds by altering the voltage at the bottom of the battery. I'm happy to advise you if I can, whichever way you go, VAPE ON! yaaaay xx Linda

dee101 although very new to vaping, I can recommend an ego with clearomiser.
I picked up one from a company called cybercig (mate at works been using his for a few months now) £30 for 2 batteries, 2 CE4 clearomisers, usb and wall charger, case and 2 10ml bottle of juice and they are night and day compared to the things you can pick up in Tesco!

One thing I will recommend is getting at least one flavoured liquid other than tobacco. I've used the baccy flavour once and then jumped red bull flavour and not looked back! Hope you find what your looking for.
