Hello everyone!
Found the forum today and have been lurking after trying getting here from google search results. So, firstly, hey! Secondly (I hope it's okay to ask some questions here) - I purchased an eLeaf P100 today and so far have found it quite good. You could say I'm new to vaping again after abandoning it for years. I have been using a Joytech eGo Pod for the last couple of months and it was an excellent cessation aid. I figured it was time to get something with a bit more clout and battery power but with the pod system theme. So here goes...
I notice it drinks liquid for fun. Am I correct in saying this is because of the nature of sub-ohm atomisers? The amount of vapour it produces is pretty OTT (lol). I've gone and ordered some 1.2ohm coils as according to the information where I bought them, these produce vapour in lower plume, in line with smoking tobacco. It also notes they require less wattage - which should mean less power consumption and better battery life? Can I expect the 1.2ohm coils to last longer typically than the 0.2ohm and 04.ohm coils supplied in the kit? And will a higher resistance coil use less liquid (by ratio puff to puff)?
The airflow holes on the P100 are a little annoying for me - I prefer a harder draw, more in line with a cigarette. I've bodged them using some blutack on the inside which doesn't seem to interfere with the pod itself. Are there any good hacks for the airflow situation, beyond tape and blutack?
Thank you and sorry for the newb question session.
