Hello People,

I need help with a suitable nic salt for a first time user of these.

I am an extremely heavy smoker of over 100g of rolling tobacco a week, background if of interest below to save me repeating myself here:

https://www.planetofthevapes.co.uk/...hreads/starter-kit-help-for-nic-salts.212415/

I've pretty much got past the choice of kit issue and I'm most likely going for the Flexus Blok in the next few days.

Now my dilemma is which nic salt and which is TOTALLY confusing me with the array of flavours!!

I don't want sweet, sickly or anything cloying and not tobacco flavours. Any pointers?

Thanks guys for any help and advice most welcome

Hi @sizzers, welcome to the forum and congratulations on you switch. I hope it's a big success for you.

You seem to have made a good choice with the flexus and salts combo - this should work well for you.

On the subject of flavours, it's the old 'how long is a piece of string' question, everybody's pallet is different and everybody likes different things. Finding the right juice is by far the hardest part of vaping.

My preference is usually for a quality artisan juice like Manabush or PrimeVapes, but my Dad swears by 88Vapes. I vape a few IVG's too.

The price doesn't necessarily determine the likeability or quality of the juice, unfortunately it's just going to be a matter of trial and error.

I've been vaping almost two years, and I'm still looking for my perfect flavours so don't expect it to be quick.

If you fancy having a relative inexpensive introduction to vaping, you could try a website like Eliquidsamples where you can get some low cost nic-free tasters to try. It might help steer you in the right direction.

Good luck and happy experimenting, my friend.

As @Astral says it's hard for anyone to recommend liquids, someone could say buy this it's great and you think it's rubbish then your blaming the poor fella that recommended it to you. I don't buy Nic Salts anymore but the good thing about them is your not buying bigger bottles and wasting it if you don't like the flavour. I bet 99% of the members on here have had liquid that they think is poor, i have bought liquid myself that someone has liked and i hated it myself. Just pick a flavour yourself and give it a go, i think that's what most of us do. Good Luck with it and also Welcome to POTV.

well, that around 99% of juice out the windown then :). also cloying,is that a typo?
its just finding that 1% that might suite you.
you could pick 10 of exactly the same flavour from 10 suppliers and out of them you migh love 2 and hate the rest. its just trial and error finding the one you like.
ive been on the hunt for custards and in the past 7 years and tried hundreds. ive got my faves but im still hunting.
as mentioned you can get samples here https://eliquidsamples.co.uk/product-tag/99p-samples
but the majority of juices are sweet in some way.

all these suppliers have been tried and tested by members but its still going to be almost impossible to pick flavours out for you without at least some flavour profile to get everyone started.

heres a list of plenty of salts all in one place https://www.vapepotions.co.uk/nic-salts

The only useful advice I can give is to avoid ALL bakery/desert flavours as they tend to be packed with sweeteners.

Probably the safest bet is to pick up a couple of basic fruit flavours, and maybe a menthol (menthol is a love/hate flavour but you'll quickly find out which side of the fence you're on) and hopefully you'll find something you like.

@MTLMike has been testing some of the V69 flavours and I've found this thread a great help :2thumbsup:

https://www.planetofthevapes.co.uk/...-reviews/threads/various-v69-flavours.212021/

I like strong flavours and I've never vaped anything but coffee, custards and tobacco and I've always hated anything fruity or too sweet.
Following Mike's reviews I've now tried the V69 Rhubarb & Custard, Cherry and Peach and they're all really nice.
I've also tried Pineapple and Banana and they're great too.

The American Tobacco is also very good and is more of an American Marlboro/Lucky Strike type flavour.

At 69p for a 10ml bottle you can't go wrong imho.

I've also got into the habit of having a rotation of flavours throughout the day so that my palate doesn't get jaded.

I will be trying my LegioX order later in the week so looking forward to that.
Been looking after a 3 year old for the last 2 days and not got round to adding nicotine yet.

Some ppll hate vanilla, but the ones that dont find it a very neutral taste

i would recommend starting with plain liquid. just buy a 20mg salt nic shot and use that. if you like it, you’ve ruled out any hassle over worrying about flavours. :)
