nicotine effect on taste ?

Does nicotine have an effect on the taste of juice ? I was wondering as i've bought a dripper to test my diy juices and as i like to vape at 18-20%,i find this far too much when dripped,so was wondering if i make 0 nic juice to test the flavour,would a juice containing 18-20% nic taste the same ?

Nicotine has a distinct peppery hot taste which is masked by the flavour/sweeteners in e-liquid...

If youre getting too much flavour and not enough vape, make sure your coil has good airflow to it

Cheers KMS,umm maybe i didn't word that right,i only intend to use a dripper to test juice,ie make a small amount(5ml) and drip it to see how it tastes as opposed to making more and wasting it if it tastes foul,but i find 18% nic too strong in a dripper,so was wondering if making 0 nic(to test)would it taste the same when mixed at 18% nic or does the nic have a effect on the overall taste ?

I can taste the nicotine in some flavours,as KMS says it has a peppery taste but when I can taste it,it doesn't alter the taste of the juice enough to make it unusable.

i always test with 0 nic, saves wasting it

Indeed, I'd try it first at 0% to make sure I could taste the flavour strength, then add up to say 6mg, if through the dripper to test the difference and work it from there.

The zero nic did taste a lot smoother,wether this is down to the juice or dripping i'm not sure-oh well guess i've just got to make some more juices at different strengths/flavours and try them all out-did i mention i'm loving vaping and everything that goes with it

it does alter the taste slightlly cant really taste it in juices though

The tank/setup you use will also affect the flavour, recently got a dripper myself to test juices I mix
Find only my kayfuns come close to the flavour of the dripper (in my collection)

Not got a tank atty that gives anything close to the dripper so these days, my adv device is a dripper.
