Hi All

None of my batteries are charging! I have an Evod, and eGo and my old nicolite battery - I have two chargers, that came with the nicolites and the Evod. I have tried charging them all. The light goes on and no matter how long I leave it, the battery is not charged.

Now, either I have 3 dud batteries or I have damaged the chargers - I did use them from a wall rather than the USB port of the PC - it was a 2.4amp wall charger - would this have blown the chargers? Strange that the lights still come on if so.

Advice, please!

Charger for a ego battery should be output of 4.2v and 420mA ???? that is what my charger shows that is a usb charger from pc port to my ego battery...(i am NO electronic/electrical expert, so try and get expert info pal...)

Try wiggling the pins on your batteries and charger to pull them out a fraction of a mm.

They are only held in with a bit of glue or silicone and sometimes over tightening them can weaken or break the seal.

Thanks all. Tried this and also cleaned the connector with alcohol. Both batteries are charging a bit better but still only last an hour or so. I think I'll buy a new battery and charger. Are the ones sold by vendors on here any better than the ones on ebay? Ebay ones come in blister packs just like these: are they older? Why so much cheaper, apart from lack of operating overheads?

OK - something is seriously wrong. I really need advice - I am tempted to go back to filthy organics.

I have bought a new charger and a new battery, not from ebay. The battery was from Diamond Mist.

It's exactly the same problem: the charger charges but rarely goes green - it takes over a day and then half the time it's still red. When I vape, it vapes really well for about 10 minutes then I have to suck long and slowly to get any hit at all. After about 30 mins (condensed time, only when vaping - maybe an hour real time) I get nothing, then a a while later the blinking blue light comes on and I have to recharge. A recharge of half an hour gives the same as 6 hours - 10 mins good, then steep decline.

The new battery worked really well for about a week, then this problem occured.

So, is this a battery problem? A charger problem? Should I upgrade to a mod battery? What is wrong?

I really don't want to go back to fags but the last couple of days I have resorted to this as none of my batteries are now holding a charge.

Help! Much appreciated!

I cant talk for Diamond mist batteries, but point 1 is never ever buy from ebay, it rarely ends well :(

You could be experiencing several issues if I am honest.

1. Are you charging from a USB port or 3 pin plug?
2. The atomiser you are using, what is it, where was it bought from, what is the resistance and is it the same as what you were using on you other batteries?
3. Do you know the mAh rating of the battery.

Answering the above might give us a chance to work out what could possibly be going wrong before just stating that your batteries are borked!

I have bought this kit: -

Just for taking with me to work. I have had it over 3 months, its used daily and is still as sharp as when I first bought it :)

Also a point to note is these are genuine KangerTech batteries and they are really fit for purpose. :)

Have you contacted diamond mist to see what they say ? You could just of had the bad luck of a faulty battery

Like many others would say, I'd avoid eBay unless they are a reputable vendor that also sell on eBay as well as there main site, as you will find more cheap and usually lesser quality gear from randoms, and you will just be waisting your money and get more frustrated

I'd say, to save any more frustration, get yourself a kit from myepack, they are very well spoke of on this forum and this kit comes with everything you need

My friend has the same kit and was satisfied with it with no problems :)

Alternatively. If you feel you will want to move on to more power and veritable voltage then there are a few to choose from so its just what suits your needs really

Thanks for the reply.

Orginally I was charging from a 3 pin wall plug (1000ma) and thought that may the problem. When I bought a new charger I only charged from the USB slot.

The battery is 1100mah. My others are a) the same and b) 900mah.

I have some CE4 atomisers and some GS-H2's. Bought from ebay or amazon. But the same happens with my Kanger protank (which I no longer use because of an unrelated issue that it bubbles and gurgles and spits juice into my mouth).

I think I may have to shell out some serious cash to make sure that I don't shell out more on tobacco cigs. I will look for replies here and then try the kanger batteries you have linked.

Edit - yes, I have contacted the seller and await their reply but as this has happened with 3 batteries now I am open to the idea that it is something I am doing.
