Hi im at the point where im getting some decent flavours now just about but i notice there seems to be a lack of flavour on the exhale.

Example mix flavourart raspberry 3% with capella bav cream 7% tastes ok on the inhale but not much taste exhale.
70/30 2% nicotine.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Do you get any flavour when you first start vaping it? Too much flavour can set your olfactory senses in your nose to just ignore the flavour and 7% bavarian cream is quite high, flavour art's concentrates are quite potent as well. I'd recommend dropping the % a bit. If you look on http://e-liquid-recipes.com/flavors there are average mixing percentages for all the flavours and that would be the quickest way to get an idea what % to use. The other way would be to do single flavour testers of the concentrates, generally i start at 1% with FA and 2-3% with cap/tfa and add concentrate to the original mix if necessary. At the end you could just mix them together or just vape them on their own.

Has it steeped as well or did you just mix it?

Anything with the different creams tends to need time for flavours to fully develop. Give it 2-3 weeks or more and it'll taste and vape differently ;).

Where are you looking? I have Raspberry at 1.96% & 2.3% (https://alltheflavors.com/flavors/flavourart-berryl-raspberry http://e-liquid-recipes.com/flavor/4402) and bavarian cream at 3.3% and 2.8% (https://alltheflavors.com/flavors/capella-bavarian-cream http://e-liquid-recipes.com/flavor/48152)

As backwards as it sounds using too much concentrate can actually mute the flavour, I will always advocate to use the lowest amount possible for this reason and to lower the chance of olfactory fatigue. Also once you've made your mix and tested its fairly easy to add to the mix, if you feel that say raspberry is lacking at 2% and you've used 2ml of 10ml you just set your calculator to make 8ml and add the difference to the mix in this example 0.2ml - 0.16ml so you'd add 0.4ml.

Have you tried exhaling through your nose, slowly.
Sometimes that improves flavour perception.

I never get any flavour from anything on the exhale, no matter how I do it. Think my nose must be broken that way though I smell stuff perfectly fine hehe

I'm not into waiting for steeping, i know its a compulsory with some mixes/brands but i believe flavourart in the most part are pretty much shake n vape.

Probably benefit from steeping also but i get a better picture from the offset!

I've been learning that i need certain flavors for the exhale and my most recent mixes are vastly improving, i put this down to changing over to flavourart
concentrates.Much better for the level im currently at, as i progress i can expand to other brands.

I have been adding forest fruit mix at 0.5-1.0% to my fruits which doesn't alter the main flavor much but has greatly improved it overall, including exhale.
Coconut is on order as this I'm told is an "exhale" flavor and the bilberry in the forest fruit mix is also an "exhaler".

Tweaking strengths has helped, putting in too much has got things out of "range".

I really appreciate all the advice, it has speed-ed things right up for me! I will no longer have to buy e liquids at this point and i have an addictive blackcurrant menthol im that zapping all day, couldn't be happier with it.

Many thanks to all.

This may sound absurd, but my own experience suggests that vapour doesn't quite act in the way that smoke does. When I smoked, flavour on the exhale seemed to be enhanced by forcefully blowing the smoke out (i.e. through closed lips so you can hear a hiss). If I do this with vapour, the taste on the exhale is reduced. If I let the vapour out gradually, slowly -- almost under its own steam, as it were -- and also let it come out through my nose, then I find the flavour is definitely improved.

I can't comment on the quality of the juice you are using or have made, but I do think flavour is partly related to *method*...
