Got a Boxer 80w TC with Ni200 coils.
I set the watts, put it in Ni mode, set the temp but there seems to be no resistance lock, is this right?
I found this in the manual but don't really understand what the default value means.

Due to NI or TI resistance wire has different performance, so we have added temperature compensation feature into
programme, Pressing “Fire”,”+”,”-” 3 buttons at the same time under “TEMP NI”or “TEMP TI”mode,it will show “10-100F”as
temperature compensation value,
* TEMP NI: Default Value 69F.
* TEMP TI: Default Value 55F.

Any input appreciated, ta :)

One for @Tubbyengineer me thinks...
Resistance starts at 0.19 then jumps all over the place when firing, there must be a way to lock it?

Sent a mail to Basecom to see what they say, I'll update when I know the answer.

No, it won't neccesarily have resistance lock, the earlier DNA 40's didn't. The temperature should climb steadily as you fire until it reaches a certain level then should level off and wobble around that value (Indicating it's reached temp). If it's going up and down wildly all the time you've got a problem with the build or atty...

Thanks for the reply Tubbs :)
Temp rises steadily until it reaches the pre-set then it wobbles around there, looks like its doing what it should be.
Could you shed any light on the temp compensation values?

It's basically an adjustment that increases or decreases all the set temps by the entered amount - not sure why they should include it - but the SX Miini Mclass had it in the latest firmware - use it if all your tanks seem cooler or warmer on that device or if you'll be vaping outside in really cold weather. You can also use it to compensate if a particular batch of wire seems to run warmer or cooler (Composition variances can affect the way the wire reacts)...

Ah k, now I understand.
I'll up the compensation values as its vaping very cool at 240°c.
I've had a reply from Basecom, it's doing what it should be with the resistance.
All is well in the world again :)
