hey for the past few months I've tried making the perfect strawberry and cream, I've tried a lot of people's recipes, I've bought a lot of juices but none have been my ideal juice! To me it's a strong fresh ripe strawberry and then a smooth cream on the exhale... At the moment I've made a recipe which I really like but to me it's just not sweet enough. It's 3mg, 70/30 mix and using 14% flavourings ... How much sweetner would be the most suited amount to use? Or any advice on making it sweeter without making it taste like candy would be great! Thanks :)

Have you used any sweetener in the mix already? What sweeteners do you have? I use Ethyl Maltol and/or stevia which are both very potent. I'll typically add 1 or 2 drops per 10ml, depending on the juice. Might be good to start with that, you can always add more if it still isn't sweet enough.

Yes, Strawberry & Cream is a one that a lot of mixers claim to be an easy mix to do when your new to DIY, but I've found it hard to get a good one, and also found my finished results really lacking in sweetness, compared to what I was aiming for. Using The Perfumer's Apprentice Ripe Strawberry helps a little as it's sweeter than Capella's strawberry concentrates. I ended up mixing about 3% sucralose in, to get the sweetness up. The end result was quite nice but my Strawberry & Cream had definitely turned into a Strawberry Milkshake!

In the mix there's a few strawberry and a few cream concentrates with 2% Marshmellow ... I've got a bottle of FW sweetner and a bottle of ethyl Maltol sitting in the draw... I've added 2 drops of sweetner into a small 10 batch I've made fingers crossed in a weeks time when I taste it, it's sweet but the flavours haven't changed at all

Get some Strawberry Jam concentrate from Cupcake World and add it to your mix.

I've got 4 strawberries which I mix together, and also a cream base with around 10 ingredients. It seems the more concentrates you mix together, the better the overall flavour.
