OBS NANO HELP

I've picked up an OBS Nano, nice single coil deck.
Have a question regarding my coil made from ss316, 26/32ga. 3.5 id coming in at 0.42ohm on my ohm reader.

Using a minikin 2 in power mode, when i place the deck on the mod it reads the ohms correctly, the coil is fine, no hot spots and heats up correctly etc however, the ohms fluctuate up.
This is my 1st time using ss is this normal? I've not wicked it yet been searching on my phone to see if its my mod? Ive also tried a pre-made ss316l clapton at 0.42 and this does the same when fired.
Both grub screws are tight and the coil is bang on, no shorts....honest.
I presume I can't use ss wire in power mode maybe on the minikin2? Only Temp Control?
If anyone has any build or wire suggestions too that would be great.

It's normal, SS isn't as stable as Kanthal, that's why you can use it as a TC wire ... your mod is just reading the resistance as it changes.

So in power mode when wicked and vaping if I see the ohms jumping to 0.57 should I just ignore it, i presume the vape won't be as enjoyable....I need something else maybe unless i can lock in the setting

Just wonder what others are using in this rdta, I know it's not been out too long but there's a few sold[emoji3]

yeah, just ignore it ...

Even if you could 'lock' the resistance in power mode, resistance locking is just a way of letting the mod know that's the resistance of the coil at room temp to make the TC as accurate as possible, it won't stop the wire doing what it does when you heat it.

As above thats all normal for SS, one of the advantages os SS is it works just as well in power and TC modes so you don't need anything else. I use SS in power mode alot and its a great vape

Thanks guys, the coil I made works, this being the 1st time using the OBS Nano, if I compare it to the flavour I get from the Serpent Mini, so far the Serpent wins, so maybe I need to play with the coils a bit.
Try a 3ml id next same wire.
All but one of the build vids ive watched have used the coil that came with the Nano, I can't find much discussion about what others are using.

I've bought some Anarchist AN80 to try in the Nano, 21 guage...
3mm id 7 wraps should be 0.28 ohm and hopefully ramp up quicker than the massive fat clapton, just hope the flavour is there[emoji3]
Issue with the OBS Nano I've found is that with the few coils I've tried I needed higher power to get them going and I dont think the tank needs it or likes it, it's happy at 35watts ish so trying to find a build to suit the Nano.
