Hi just made my first microcoil 8 wraps .25mm kanthal showing 1.8ohms on multimeter and all fine, just tested original heads that are supposed to be 2.2ohms and they read 2.8 and my iclear 10 reads 2.7 and I thought they where 1.5. ? Is my microcoil going to be ok on my little itaste ep
microcoil is in a just vape protank

I would say yes, it should be ok on the iTaste. It has short-circuit/low ohm protection built in so if there was an issue with your build, the ep won't power it and shut down. The variances in the stock coil ohm's isn't uncommon actually. They are known to be off a bit. The iClear30 difference is a different story. Perhaps one of the coils burned out resulting in the higher than estimated ohm reading? The i30 is a dual-coil and the nature of dual coils is that the coils halve the resistance, I hope you're following me.
One 2 ohm coil is obviously 2 ohm, but two 2 ohm coils will read 1 ohm. I hope that makes sense.

Just re read my post and when I said original heads I meant the heads that came with the justvape protank, just surprised me when the readings from the heads where so different than they are marked, the one thing I don't know is if the multimeter is correct

Right, slight "language barrier" between us, my fault! I should have said the ohm readings from the "original heads" instead of "stock heads"...
All's good though! The coils that come with the ProTank are known to be off slightly, but it's nothing to be too concerned with. I would trust the Multi-Meter in this case.
Most of the coils that came with my ProTanks are off by a few decimal points too.
I would say that your rebuilt head will be fine in your ep... the worst that will happen is it just won't fire the coil if there is a short or too low of a resistance.
I'm still polishing up on my "lingo" here! :grin2:

Thanks for your help, I must say my coil I've made is a improvement in taste and vapour

you should also test the resistance of your multimeter by touching the two prongs together and that should be deducted from your reading mine fluctuates between.5 and .7 ohms

tested resistence of multi meter and its .2 and reading of coil is 1.9-2.0 so coil is 1.7-1.8 which was my aim, thanks for all your help
