just seen a how to post on here on how to rebuild a coil for the kanger pro tank 2. it said do 5 wraps of 30ga wire which comes out at 1.4 ohms. how would i go about getting a higher ohm reading and is it better to go for lower ohms or higher ohms. the coils on my pro tank 2 that came with the tank were 2.6 ohms and had no probs with them

less wraps = higher ohms so do around 3-4 wraps instead
lower ohms will generally give you more vape , more flavour and more throat hit. but also higher wattage and more heat

Doesn't matter so long as u have a VV / VW device.

thanks all. so more wraps = higher ohms. think i would try around the 1.6 - 2.4 ohm area for my protank/vamo things

The longer the kanthal wire the higher the ohm's, so the more wraps you add around your wick the longer the piece of wire will be and the highter the ohms will be.... Or use a different resistance wire?!?

Yeah like others said more wraps more resistance here is a chart to give you a rough idea -
