Ohms won't read properly

Hi all newbie here! I have a hellvape passage rda and a smok devilkin mod, I've used 0.33 coils for the build but my mod only registers it at 0.1 even when I detects the new coils. I can adjust the ohms manually but as soon as I fire it up they drop back down to the original reading. I've checked all the screws and coils etc. But can't seem to get the ohms to change. This is affecting the flavour and my patience
Any help would be appreciated, many thanks

If each coil was 0.3ohm, in dual set up in the Passage the reading will be halved. 2 x 0.3 = 0.15. Also if coils are Ni80 they need firing before wicking to stablise the resistance.

Thankyou that makes sense actually,I'm still quite new to using an RDA. I'm not sure if they're Ni80 but I always fire them up to check for hot spots etc before i wick

Are you using two coils? Or a single coil?

Two 0.33 ohm coils would be 0.16 ohms.

Using 2 coils, none of this was explained to me when I brought the tank

When you insert two coils of the same resistance into an RTA or an RBA, you are connecting the two coils in parallel. Resistance of the build deck will be half that of each coil. Two 1ohm coils will equal 0.5ohms.

Not trying to be an arse but I don't think shops should be selling rebuildables to people that aren't in the know without explaining the basics to them first

I'm guessing half the people that work in vape shops dont have a clue about ohms law and battery drain etc
