Thought I had it all nailed POTV calculator nicotine Base PG VG & capella flavours. Now I notice there's this AG stuff. Where & why would you use this ?

The juices I made are all OK but I think next time I'll up the flavour ‰. Now the flavour is by far the most expensive component so is it worthwhile trying Cupcake World or stick with Capella as the flavours are better & the Cupcake World stuff is weaker so you have to use proportionately more anyway ?

AG is Aqueous Glycerine. It's VG thinned down with a little water so it wicks better/transports flavour better.

Most of what people buy as VG is already actually AG.

the thinner you make the liquid the better it wicks, the better it wicks the more gets turned into vapour (up to a point) which is basically why PG transports flavour better, more of it gets vapourised as there is more liquid near the coil.

There are 2 reasons to use more VG than PG.

i) cloud chasing

ii) allergic to PG (something like 2% of the UK population has a PG allergy - PG is in a LOT of food/cosmetics/medicines already.)

VG sort of muffles flavour as it's slightly sweet, which is good if you're making a dessert/custard/bakery kind of flavour as it aids "smoothness" - if you're making a fruit or a mint flavour the VG is more of a hinderance than an aid and you need to use more flavouring % to combat that.

High VG mixes are more fashionable and people tend to think that higher VG = higher quality. That's not strictly true though.
