On the rise

All that red looks scary but we're on the list because we've gone from 0 new cases to 1 new case. I guess technically that's 'on the rise' but I'm not going to panic yet. :)

Nope - I'm sure some media (who shall remain nameless) would get all 'oooooooh spiiiiike' about it, but I wouldn't start panicking either. :D

I did tell OH though, as he spent all day working in Hammersmith and Ealing.

The information is really only useful if I know who that 1 person is, almost half of deaths here have been in old folks homes (something like 40 of the 82, I don't look at it all the time, too morbid) was that 1 cases someone else in a care home, were they someone from a family who were already self isolating or a relative/partner of someone ill in hospital? ... someone who had just come back from another area, we just don't know do we... afaik there still not been any more deaths for weeks. It gets reported as positive news if nobody new dies in London for a day. So I think you have to have take some perspective on it.

I wasn't aware I was lacking perspective. All I've done is posted to keep an eye on it and warned OH (and my work as we also have lots of clients in Ealing) to maintain levels of care? I don't want either to get complacent because of lockdown easing? :D

When I said you, I didn't mean you dufus ... I meant us. :D

I have no idea what's going on in ealing, so can't comment. ;)

I wouldn't have taken offense if you had! ;)

I think it was more that I'd not thought of it as a big thing in the first place, just something to note and keep an eye on.
