As the programme hasn't been broadcast yet except a brief synopsis, I can't promise it will be positive, but maybe the BBC protests did do something to stir consciousness of vaping?

The Long View, Radio 4 Tuesday 14th January & repeated later that evening

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03phpfm

Rod Liddle from what I remember is a smoker who is anti e-cigs, the rest of the guests, not sure. I'll give it a listen anyway.

Might not be able to listen to it due to work, but it will be interesting to find out how it goes!

This was mentioned on VTTV. I think its on at 9am and again at 9pm.
Rod Liddell is a character and is a staunch smoker but word is he Vapes too and likely on our side. He is pretty anti-establishment and unnecessary rules etc
Apparently to be a comparison of sorts with snuff users centuries ago who used to have regular meet ups with other snuff users, showing off their ornate silver snuff tins and swapping experiences....sound familiar?

Doofry, there's a 'Listen again' facility on the beeb if you miss a programme when it was broadcast - it'll probably be available a few hours after the repeat and then is usually available for a week or so after

Superb programme, definitely very positive and covered some great points for vaping.

Some key points that I thought were important and very well made

* Ecigs are orders of magnitude safer than smoking
* Ecigs aren't cool (no mention of gateway effect for kids, but point was driven home strongly that ecigs aren't rebellious or attractive for naughtiness)
* BMA is looking to control health, not promote it

I agree. I was a little distracted and so will listen again but it all seemed positive stuff and Fraser Cropper spoke quite well. I can't help but like Rod Liddell. Vapes where the fascists say he can't smoke. I do wish someone would smash this constant argument that by recreating the hand to mouth action this REINFORCES smoking. No! It's what sets it it apart from NRT for sure...but it is what enabled me and 1000's of others to SWITCH FROM smoking. When will they fecking understand that simple fact?
