Hi, I am hoping someone may be able to help. My local vendor sells an own label Golden & Silver tobacco liquid. I have found this on other sites and to be honest much cheaper. Does anyone know if this flavour is universal and will pretty much taste the same?

when you say own label you mean he makes it himself? does he list ingredients on the bottles, are they child prrof caps, do they have the raised triangle, do they list nic content etc. if not ALL the above i wouldnt buy them and would get them from reputable online vendor

Phantom Diablo, thanks for your reply

No I don't think they make them themselves, as they do other brands too. I think they are re- labeled. My other half won't vape anything else, and I think it's overpriced. So on my hunt to find a better deal, I found some on mist's website, in big bottles. I would order a sample but the postage outweighs the price of the product. I may just bite the bullet and give it go.

i would say that gold and silver juice is probably made from a stock gold and silver concentrate so as long as pg/vg ratio and nic content is the same they are all pretty much of a muchness

It depends how he's making it.

there are 3 ways to produce 'own label' e-liquid.

i) Buy it in in bloody great bottles, and rebottle it into smaller ones with your own label stuck to it.

ii) Buy the concentrate in and mix it up as per instructions with your own PG VG and Nicotine.

iii) Make up your own blend using flavourings etc

if he's using i) or ii) then yes it'll taste the same as everyone elses. if he's using iii) then it'll be different. Could be lots better could be lots worse. There is no good reason why i) or ii) should cost significantly more than everyone elses.

The best thing to do is to ask to try it out before you buy. Then you'll know whether you think it's worth the money he's asking.
Ask him how he makes it, if he uses iii) then he's very very likely to talk a while about how he made the flavour and what he thinks about it. If it's i) or ii) you'll get no answer or will get fobbed off somehow.

Obviously if the bottles don't have the right warning text/symbols on and come in a bottle with a childproof cap then leave well alone.

Thank you, I assume there is a recipe that is used and should be there abouts. Will give it a go.

Thanks very much

I have asked and they say it's bought and relabelled, I know they don't make it on site. It does have all the relevant toxic stickers and my oh has been using it for ages, so I haven't got a problem with the source, just the price.

Now I am not so fussy and have tried all sorts and paid less for some fantastic juices and it really gets up my nose that he pays more for a generic liquid.

To to be fair the shop is great and they provide a good service, and if it wasn't for their help oh would be on stinky fags, so I don't want to put them down.

Thanks again

Part of the increased cost might be down to extra overheads from running a B&M shop.

I am opening my own shop eventually here, but I know that when I do I won't be able to charge the same prices as I do on my website.

I'd ask your local place if they can arrange a discount on a larger bottle. If they can't then get a sample in from an online seller to check it is the same and then go from there.

Thanks VaperCaper will do. I would prefer to support our local shop, so will ask if they can do a bigger bottle .

Good luck with your new venture, I hope all goes well. If it's anything like round here, you will have queues out of the door. :thankssign:
