PBusardo Review of the Z-Max V2

Long but thorough review (he even recorded the sound of a carto being fired on the Z-Max compared to a Provari ffs) I have the V1 which is decidedly inaccurate. I still love it though. I call it the Maverick. Fierce beast so it is.

Mine is chrome. The one reviewed here is stainless steel. The physical design is identical though and I must say I don't understand the comments on the 'sharp' ridges at all. Mine are smooth as a baby's wotsit and very comfortable to hold.

I think my provari lust has just been replaced.

my main issue with my zmax is its in accuracy it's dishing out way more than it should and frying some devices, to the point at times I wonder if its fit for purpose.

the v2 looks like it gets round this with the new RMS setting, if it can be a zmax AND fire accurately, it gives us a device that has more features than a provari .... For less.

Yeah not as desirable .. BUT is that down to market pressure ? is it down to the rave reviews everyone gives the Provari ? or is it down to the fact you dont seem to be able to get coloured zMax's?

Yes but one of those extra features is to still give you the wrong output!
Not really a 'feature' in the traditional sense lol.

I now officially WANT a Zmax v2. I still don't think it would replace my ProVari though.
