-No complaints here with the pricing! I would, however, like to see additional options for nicotine strengths and possibly even different pg/vg ratios.

Vendor Comments:
-Paul and Sabrina are extremely nice and give great customer support. They even tolerated me sending text messages rather than e-mailing (I was a bit over-anxious me thinks)! They answer queries promptly and keep you up to date with availability of all products. Sabrina also signed the invoice in sparkling green gel pen – a very nice touch, indeed! Postage is very speedy if you are ordering in Ireland and reasonably priced.
-Product range offered by E-SmokeIreland suits everyone from new to expert e-cig users. While some categories are limited – such as the minimal choices in the Wire & Wicks section – most of the others are really quite well stocked and offer many accessories, DIY equipment and ingredients, mods, and a nice range of e-liquids beyond Wingnuts.

My Setup:
for Mint Sweeties for Vanilla Custard Supreme
-iTaste MVP v2 @ 6.5W -iTaste MVP v2 @ 6.5W
-Kanger Evod clearomizer -AnyVape Trident RDA (clone)
-2.3ohm Kanger coil w/silica wick -2.6ohm microcoil w/cotton wick

Review:
A couple things before I begin describing these e-liquids. Regarding Steeping: as per the instructions, I steeped the Vanilla Custard Supreme for three days before first use (placed in a cool, dark cabinet with nipple cap removed and given a good shake once a day). The Mint Sweeties was tasted straight out the bottle but was also steeped for a few days in the identical method. Despite the color change, there was only a subtle mellowing of the flavor. This particular e-liquid did not require steeping but didn’t hurt either. Part 2 (TBA): I have another two Wingnut liquids – Vampire’s Kiss and Ecto Plasmic – but I will review these at a later date.

Both e-liquids come in a very underwhelming bottle – a standard bottle, standard nipple cap, and a basic label. These are made to order or at least very recent to the date of order (hence the Vanilla Custard requiring time to steep). The label only includes the Wingnuts name, the flavour, nicotine content, and a general warning to keep out of reach of children. That’s about it for the packaging. Of course, never judge an e-liquid by its bottle…so to speak! Higher quality packaging certainly does not translate to a superior product. I would, however, like to see some additional information just as a basic level of assured guarantee, such as date of production and a simple ingredients list.
***Edit: Sabrina at E-SmokeIreland has informed me that the 30ml bottles have a more detailed label that provide this additional information. She has also stated that they are in the process of phasing-out the 10ml testers in place of a 7ml alternative.

So let’s start with our select range Vanilla Custard Supreme. This liquid was steeped according to the vendor’s instructions. However, at three days I found it a bit too sickly sweet, so I threw it back into my dark cupboard for another couple days and I’m glad I did. First off it smells like vanilla custard…good start, right? It smells so good, I wish I had a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side! Some vanilla custard liquids have been faulted at being too “rummy” and acidic. While it definitely smells like rum, it doesn’t have that singe-your-nose-hair smell as if you just poured a shot at the pub. And finally it has that creamy, savoury finish to round out the custard profile.

I’ve set the Trident RDA to a rather restricted air setting so to keep the vapour drag slow and warm; I find this better for the more complex dessert flavours. Vapour production is very good, no issues there. The inhale is sweet and a bit acidic at the back of the throat but no longer sickly with the additional steeping. On exhale, however, is when it begins to open up with the vanilla and custard undertones. The aftertaste lingers a bit, but doesn’t coat the mouth with any overpowering flavour. I can see now why people call this “an after-dinner vape” as it is smooth, sweet, and enjoyable. I probably wouldn’t be able to vape this for long periods due to my particular tastes, but I have read that people can and do use this for an as an all-day vape.

Now on to the standard range Mint Sweeties. This flavor is my fiancée’s favourite and she isn’t a vaper nor an ex-smoker…I probably shouldn’t even let her have the nicotine but it isn’t a regular thing for her. Anyway, she likes it because the flavors are perfectly complimented, both a subtle mint and a subtle fruit that don’t leave any sickening aftertaste. The mint is unidentifiable and likewise I can’t name the fruits that make up the sweet half, but they just work together. Let me explain with some visuals…

It isn’t this:

But, rather, the American version, what I’m used to from my own childhood (oh, I didn’t mention yet that I’m a Yank…):

But surely you’ve had these before:

Like the American Smarties or the Valentine’s Candy Hearts, Wingnuts Mint Sweeties is subtle and addictive. It’s a very easy flavour to vape; unlike the Vanilla Custard that might be nice for an hour or two, Mint Sweeties is going to go through your e-cig like water in a sieve.

4/5
-Both Wingnuts Vanilla Custard Supreme and Mint Sweeties receive excellent reviews for different reasons. The Vanilla Custard Supreme captures the decadence of the dessert, but might not be tolerable for some for long periods of vaping. The Mint Sweeties on the other hand can be vaped nonstop due to its smooth and refreshing cool fruit taste, but might leave some wanting a more pronounced flavor.

Please do check out E-SmokeIreland next time you are in need of e-liquid or e-gear for friendly and reliable service!
