Are the pre wound coil wires for RTA only available in sub ohm resistances?

I won't be doing rebuildables anytime soon. Just curious as all the ones I've come across while browsing have been very low sub ohm resistances

Why not? It is as simple as wrapping a bit of wire round a screwdriver.

Especially if you are not looking for a coil that requires huge watts.
Fitting a coil tends to be more fiddly than building a simple coil.

I am sure you could buy pre built coils at whatever resistance you want but why bother, when building is so easy.

Its actually way more hassle to buy pre made coils than it is to learn how to make your own. I speak from recent experince.

Sounds complicated with the difrent gauge wires and number of wraps needed to calculate difrent resistances
Also look like they soak up loads of liquid

We use coil calculators like "steam engine " or others to help work these things out.
If you want to start building simple coils then just ask on here for more specific advice about what resistance you want and what tank you want to fit it in then start playing with putting numbers in a coil calculator and you will soon get to grips with it.

The loads of liquid thing is a red herring. It looks like you are not looking at the right coils for you.
Sounds like you want simple high res, probably kanthal coils, perhaps about 28 guage, but folk can help you work that out.

plenty of pre built options out there for varying types of preferred vape, from the low res chunky things for higher power and others for mtl, dont get drawn into the term "sub ohm" the term is pretty outdated with regards to mtl being above ohm, loads of ppeople mtl subohm coils to

You are the first person in the thread to mention mtl.
Are You suggesting that he should not bother building his own?
Or that he should go for lower res coils.
OP expressed concern about coils that might "soak up loads of liquid"
Sounds like a simple high res coil to me. Why would anyone buy a prebuilt high res coil unless they had physical dexterity issues.

yeah I mentioned mtl, usually the go to for an above ohm vape.

merely stating that theres pre built for style of vaping, granted I didn't say what type of coil, eg claptons, staples etc, Are suggesting if they don't to build their own they are either inferior or have some type of dissability?
Not all higher resistance coils are simple round wire builds there's claptons for example
also seeing as they also stated "wont be using them anytime soon",
just throwing some info put there really, to the op

Hmmm maybe it's something I should look into more in the future. only just got my 1st regulated mod and tank, waiting for batteries to power it.

Thank you for replies, good to know there not low resistance only
