Hi guys I'm having issues with the above mentioned kit. To start off I don't have a multi meter to test ohms . I'm using .5 kanthal wrapping it around a 2mm bar 6/7 times and am using ecocotton wicks. Also I'm using AW IMR 18650 2000mah batterys. I don't think I have a problem with wicking in the kayfun but I can't get a decent vape. Any help would be great thanks

.5 is massive. You need thinner kanthal. Around .28 will be better

<php>vape_on('inhale');</php>

And i hope your 6/7 wraps are including the half wraps that connect to your posts ;)

My way is 5 wraps (half a wrap for the start and the end) then i have 4 whole wraps. Using 0.30 kanth. Seems to work ;)

Too high resistance with that thin. Like is said, get yourself some .28 or .3 and give it 4 or 5 wraps. Your coil won't be getting very hot with kanthal that thin and that many coils. I'd hazard a guess that your setup must be in the 3 - 4 ohm range.

<php>vape_on('inhale');</php>

Ah ok thanks I will give it another go I have some more kanthal kicking about somewhere

It's all going to be very hit and miss until you have some way to check the resistance. However, to get you vaping, with the wire that you describe, a very simple 4 wrap ( 2 fairly close, a space, then another two ) should give you some steam. The resistance will be somewhere between 1.8 and 3.0 ohms, depending upon the total length of wire on the finished coil. About as accurate as you're ever going to get without metering.

Thanks for that I have the kayfun working now producing a average (comparable to my aspire bds) vapour but I'm getting a burned taste now. Nearly there though.
