Ok and yeah you make a good point. Just noticed today that it has a bit of clicky movement from side to side but it isn't at any risk of getting stuck etc. Its a fully mech mod so doesn't have any indicator LED or anything and it is circular. Not having one myself I can't be 100% sure but if it's a circular button with no indicator light then most likely yes it is normal - why bother to go to the extra expense of machining keyways to keep the button in one orientation if it doesn't need it. It will just be a circular actuator that presses on a physical switch underneath it...
OK, Just looked it up, it's a standard anti vandal type mechanical switch, the centre section will rotate if you try and judging by the design some lateral movement of the centre section is to be expected.Ok and yeah you make a good point. Thanks so much mate. Really appreicate it and my mind is now at rest. If the outer ring ever starts to move then i shall do what you recommendedOK, Just looked it up, it's a standard anti vandal type mechanical switch, the centre section will rotate if you try and judging by the design some lateral movement of the centre section is to be expected.
If the outer tapered ring section is moving then you'll need to tighten the big flat brass nut inside the mod that holds the switch in place - don't overdo it though since the body is plastic and too much pressure will crush or crack it...
