I've been using Capella for years, but decided to try out FlavorWest last September. I ordered a handful of flavors and loved them a lot. I've grown my collection of FW flavors over the last year, now I have almost every one of them. I'll admit my tastebuds aren't the greatest; a lot of stuff I can't taste at lower %s, so I like to keep things 15-20% even when suggested is 10-15%.
Around September or October, things changed at FW. A lot of stuff I was reordering had clearly changed. Smells were different, tastes were different, colors were different, percents were different. It's infuriating, knowing a lot of my DIY creations are now no longer replicable. Things that kept me vaping I can no longer make for myself. I don't know why they changed stuff, but I've got a feeling it's diacetyl/AP related. I might get flack for this, but as an end user, I don't really care about diacetyl. I'll avoid it if I can, but if something is tasty beyond measure, I'll gladly intake some diacetyl if just to stop smoking, where the levels are higher anyways.
Here's a couple %s I had and new ones I've found in case anyone wants to try:
2% old eggnog = 3% new eggnog
7% old graham cracker = 19% (!!!) new graham cracker
4% old gingerbread = 8% new gingerbread
5% old cheesecake = 12% (!!!) new cheesecake
5% old caramel candy = 13% (!!!) new caramel candy
8% old cinnamon roll = 14% new cinnamon roll
9% old vanilla bean ice cream = 20-25% (!!!) new vanilla bean ice cream (haven't figured this out just yet)
Even if I can find equivalent potencies, the flavors are all different, and all for the worse. Some of these, of note graham cracker and vanilla bean ice cream, are ludicrously different in taste and potency. Some of these are unusable now.
Anyone else experience a change like this? I have bottles manufactured Feb, Mar, Jun, Aug and they're all wonderful. Ones manufactured Oct and Nov I'd sooner toss than vape.
