Quitting Vaping

This is something i have thought long and hard about especially over the last couple of weeks. Since April arrived i have noticed an increase in the Price on Vape Liquid, i haven't heard or read anything about any Government Warning saying they are Taxing Vaping or heard anything else about any changes, but prices have still risen. Also sick of the e-mails saying :- We haven't seen you for a while...we miss you, which in all honesty is Bullshit, they miss your money. I was going to resupply this morning then thought Fuck It...enough is enough. I have enough liquid to last me maybe 2 weeks and after that i think i am done. I don't know which direction this will take me so will have to see. I will still hang around POTV as you lot are like Family but just won't Vape. Don't think i will be smoking especially if Sophie has anything to do with it lol. I will of course keep you all updated a watch with interest the Changes in Vaping.

Am considering quitting myself. Have gone to 0 nic and a lot of the time I don't bother to vape. Good luck with it all whatever you decide.

I get it though from a manufacture perspective - especially a small one, material costs have gone through the roof, rent has raised, all the associated costs, wage has gone up and despite assurances employers national insurance has also gone up - all stuff that could be swallowed im sure by big companies, not so much by us small independents.

we ourselves have "sort of" raised prices though we have tried to keep it minimal - 10mls have gone up by 0.04p. we have not raised the price of shortfills especially though we have changed the costs attached to multi buys - coz frankly somethings gotta give somewhere.

we dont have the reserves to swallow it - and neither do many other small independents.

Its not just costs of living that has gone up - EVERYTHING has gone up.

Ive not seen anyone put anything up even close to the amount that would be required by the proposed vape taxes ... so its not related to that.

To give a little more perspective on that

when we first started this ... way over a decade ago - a price of 10ml of E-liquid was £4.99

Over all those years costs have increased exponentially with legislation etc

The price we have just put our 10mls up to is : £4.99 - from £4.95

only industry ive ever known where things got cheaper as the costs attached got more.

Like most things Vaping is a Cash Cow and everyones trying to Milk it. I do understand the issues Small Companies have. Just to make it plain, my issue doesn't have anything to do with Manabush, i have had some unbelievable savings in some of their sales and they have always been my goto vendor. I know that if i begin to have problems quitting Vaping i know they are there to get any supplies i may need at a resonable price. My Angst is against the larger Companies who don't give a flying fuck but tell you they are your best friend, those are the ones that are destroying Vaping. The Government should support the small business side of Vaping and hammer the Big Companies but we all know that isn't going to happen, meanwhile it's the Vaper who suffers because of greed. It happens to everything that becomes popular not just Vaping which is sad.

It’s not mine or anyone’s job to convince you otherwise, if purely a cost driven decision though I’m interested to know why you don’t mix your own liquid which would save a significant amount, or used to anyways. Pissing about doing that ain’t for everyone though I know, and requires an initial outlay that repays over time

Beeen there and done that and was not an enjoyable experience, lets leave it at that. Cost is an issue but not the reason i decided to quit. Everything has a Shelf Life and i think mine just ran out. I have been there and done that with most things Vape related and am bored and need something new. It's the same old and i need a change.

Day 5 since i had any Nicotine and struggling, sound a bit like @P2PLeon . I don't know if it's the lack of Nicotine or just having nothing to do with my hands. When i was ill or in Hospital i didn't really think about Vaping and not vaping wasn't an issue, now i am home and know vaping is available it's harder. Already looked on Manabush but managed to hold off for now. Will try and hold off a bit longer but can't see me lasting

I totally get you. And at home you know, psychologically, your vape is accessible.
