Hi all
I tried an RDA in a local B&M not sure which it was but it had a 0.3 duel coil in it and wow I got to try a low ohm coil. So I'm posting this because I only own one dripper a Magma and just wanted to know if some drippers are better for sub ohm coils than others. I'm looking for a new RDA and if some perform better than others with something like a 0.5 coil I'll look at getting one.

It's all down to personal choice and preference really.
I started off with a Magma and a Plume Veil and they were fine for a wee while, then I got to try a Mephisto.
And that changed the game no end!
Gave away the Mag and PV after I got a Meff.

Recommend you try Huggett and his Tugboat clone which is a really good vape and very nicely priced. Hell, the Tuggy I got has me looking at my Veritas and thinking you're next to go.

Most importantly you should read up on Ohms Law, get a decent mod, either Mech or a good Box, get some good batteries ( samsung 25c 18650's), read up a bit on sub ohming and practice making decent coils.

Magmas more for flavour than cloud chasing crunchynut

Imo itd be pointless throwing a low build in there.

Thought as much Ash that why posted so I'm best to keep the magma at 1.0 ohms or would any higher be better ? and I'll have to have a look what you gave in RDA's Any suggestions ??
EmbraSewerRat thanks for that advice and I will take note and do some bedtime reading on sub ohm laws. Batteries and box sorted as I use the Cigreen tank crossing box mod so that well can handle sub ohm without a doubt just got to get a new dripper. On the reading up do you have any links to info that won't go straight over my head

I run my Magma around 1.2-1.4ohms for flavour, but thats personal preference.

And I couldn't give you any suggestions as to what to order pal, would hate for it to seem bias :)

Plenty of lovely apes will make suggestions, im after a new set up for myself :-P

But I won't tell you what it is as it'd be 'unsafe' for someone new to the sub ohming as you'd need to run it less than .2ohm IMO for its best effort

Cheers mate I'll wait to see if anyone recommends one then and then I'll have a look and hopefully you'll sell it.. I'll re-coil my magma above 1.0 ohm, it be interesting to see if there's a difference in taste :)

No worries bud :-)

Everyone and every juice varies. I have some gourmet juices here that need to be 1.2-1.4ohm to taste right, oh and surface area (longer coils) make for better vaping.

I'm not saying sub ohming is a waste of the Magma, just IMO its pointless it doesn't have the airflow for sub ohm / cloud chasing.

Good luck finding your perfect set up buddy, just remember stay safe and stay within your battery limits :)

Cheers for the advice Huggett defiantly need to do a bit of read coz first thing that come to mind when I just read the last bit of your message was how do I know a coil is within my battery limits .
Better find some reading now so I understand it better

You need to know if your battery for example a Sony VTC5 (just for an example) can handle your build lets say a 1ohm coil

It'll be more than capable but you should get used to Ohms law ie taking your coil readings, and checking your battery limit (amps) can handle it.

For reference a 30a battery can handle below .2ohms (not going to give you exact specs etc as id prefer you to get into a routine of being safe) :)
