Hello Vapers,

I'm interested in learning to make coils and everything but i'm not sure which to buy.. RDA or RBA? Someone help me with which one I should get?

So an RBA is a rebuildable atomiser. You can either get a tank version (rta), or a dripper (Rda)

Because there just aren't enough acronyms in the world!

Drippers tend to be larger so think they are easier to build on, but i believe most people start vaping with tanks, so tend to end up with a tank with a rebuildable deck. My first coil was a subtank mini, which was pretty straightforward.

Some tanks are easier to build on than others. Same goes for drippers.

That said, drippers tend to be easier to build on because you have more space and bad wicking does not lead to leaks.

I'd go for a four-post dripper like the twisted messes. You can build pretty much anything on that and when you get good you can move on to the more fiddly small, precise builds required for tanks (if you ever want another tank after an epic dripper!)

I would say both. A tank is better if you are out and about, particularly if you like to vape when driving. A dripper, as its name suggests! requires you to regularly drip fluid into it ( every 6<10 puffs depending on the dripper, build and wattage you use) which can be a hassle but the flavour can be much better than a tank.

You don't mention the wattage you like to use? I tend to vape my tanks at 18<30w and my drippers at 50<80w.

Well my current set up I have is a iStick 30w.. I tend to vape a lot but I mostly vape for the flavour

You can run either on that but you will need to ensure your coils match the power output of the mod. Check out steam engine to help you figure this out.
I ran my first dripper on a 12 w MVP and it was fine as long as I kept the build high enough, worth doing a bit of research first.
If you don't mind the wait get on fast tech and order some clones to try, plenty of choice there. For a tank for flavour check out the taifuns gt2 clones or the kayfun clones, they will be good ones to learn on, single coil too.

As Kermit said you can get by with your istick but it really limits the build that you can put in. For the best flavour you need a lot of wire surface area, To run big coils you need more power. I have a couple of 75w single battery mods and a 180w dual battery mod. If I use my dripper with dual clapton coils the battery drains very quickly on the 75w mods at 50w+ but the dual lasts ages. Most vapers buy these very powerful mods for this reason. Yes I have tried it at 180w and it is quite unpleasant to vape, 80w is the maximum for me personally.

I never vape under 100w.
Taste in a dripper is unparalleled.
Some are easier to build than others.
Me personally petri would have to be one of the hardest to build on, since both post holes on either post get pinned down at the same time.
4 post designs are easy and velocity is probable easiest rda ever to build on. Rdtas with velocity style decks are cool.
Its all subjective though.

whatever works for you eh
depends on the dripper no? ive got a rose clone that puts out way better flavour built at 1.2ish than maybe 50ish percent of the 25 30 rdas that i own.
true
see what you mean
4 posts or 3 post with a split center post block?,agree the velocity is a piece of piss to build but so is sticking a single in loads of other rdas. yeah a single lol
cool is subjective

well my xmas cheer lasted for a few hrs lol
