how much and often do you reduce nic strength?

I started vaping 4 months ago on 18mg and after 2 month reduced nic to 16mg. Now I want to reduce some more.
Using 10ml bottles if I mix 4 x 16mg and 1 x 11mg of the same flavour it makes 15mg (2 x 11mg and 3 x 16 mg makes 14 mg. 3 x 11mg and 2 x 16 mg makes 13mg and so on to 11mg)
Is it a good idea to reduce by 1% every couple of weeks or is it better to reduce by more and maybe less often?
I'm still using a 88vape deluxe pen but plan to get a zenith/zlide tank with 1,6ohm coils and armour pro mod sometime.

I can only speak for my self i was a heavy smoker before the vape and i found that the best nicotine % for MTL was 12% in a 50/50 mix and 6% in DTL but thats only me i guess you just have to find what suits you but reducing the nicotine is really a personal preference.

I haven't reduced mine.

If I wanted to stop vaping, I'd probably try it slower than that.... 1mg every couple of months maybe.

I tried to drop to 9mg (from 12) and I was vaping way more often, it was kind of annoying so I didn't bother again.

I started on 18mg and dropped to 12mg after a few months, mainly because I just found it too strong after a while, I didn't really miss the extra nic, but kept a tank of 18mg nic on hand for months for craving emergencies .... just in case. Your post made me realise I've not needed that for well over a year!

I've no real desire to drop the nic content on the whole, but I have started to vape some liquids at 9mg and 10mg (just because they were available) ......... again without noticing much difference. So I might as well. :)

I was a heavy smoker and started on 18mg, but I dropped down to 3mg within 6 months in 3mg steps. Now anything above 6mg is too strong for me and get pretty much instant headache.
However, I do MTL chain vape all day long. If I need to actually leave the house and do something I take some 6mg with me because I know it will be a while between puffs.

I changed about a bit starting at 24 and dropping as low as 6 but settled at 12mg a long while ago. I tried going to 9mg as I was wondering if the 12 was too strong but similar to @Simon G found I was chain puffing like nobody’s business so switched straight back.

I wouldn’t want to reduce nic really, unless I suddenly found it was having a negative effect on me. it seems counterproductive when inhaling nic is the sole reason for puffing the things.

I started on 12 and the most I ever use now is 3 for MTL and about 1 for sub-Ohm.
I think I became less dependent on nicotine more or less automatically as a direct result of vaping because with a cigarette you kinda have to smoke the whole thing as quickly as possible so you don't waste anything, whereas with a vape I'm not under that pressure to "chain" so my consumption naturally reduced by itself. I soon found that my nicotine craving was satisfied but I wanted to vape more for the flavour so I reduced the nic %

I quit heavy smoking after 20+ years about 20 months ago when I picked up vaping at 12mg initially, but found 9mg more pleasant. Went on to reduce it to 6mg eventually. Now I normally vape 3mg, but I vape a lot. Working from home most of time means it's always available in arm's reach. So I vape because it's there and I enjoy it. When I go out I don't really feel the urge to vape most of the time. 4-5 hours without aren't really an issue as long as I'm busy. Looks like it's become an enjoyable habit rather than a real need. Don't know and have no intention at the moment to change nic levels or contemplate quitting vaping.
Oh, forgot to say, I only do MTL. Have tried DL but it isn't for me.

Im still a rabid nic fiend and on 18mg (ex 30ish a day gave up Jan 19 so very new) I vape as often as I can and hoping it calms down because its a pain trying to get the best flavour I can.
IMO follow your vaping habit. If you find yourself craving more vapes you are stepping down too quickly. Just find what works at the time, it'll drop when you feel the need to.
