hi an welcome to my review of the dovpo e-lvt, Firstly i would like to thank Dovpo for sending me there product for review.
When i received the e-Lvt i was impressed with the presentation, The box that it came in was solid and the mod was inside a foam liner to keep it steady and well protected, The box had a tie string on the outside to keep the lid firmly shut when you undo them there is a magnetic lock on the lid so there is no chance of accidentally opening it, There is also a scratch off strip on the back so you can see if the product is genuine or not, that is always a good thing.
When i opened the box i was happy to see that the device was well protected, underneath that there was your instruction manual that i found really simple and easy to use with enough information inside for you to understand the device clearly, there was your allen key for opening the battery compartment, the device takes a single 18650 battery, you also have your charging cable for charging the battery inside your device or for putting the mod into output mode and using it to charge your phone etc i have attached a picture of the cable so you can see what devices it charges.
I received the green device that i would say is a kind of jungle green, The device is meant to be pressure proof so you could drive a car over it ( that i have tried and tested and the device worked perfectly fine) but i did find that the logos started to peel off i don't really see a problem with that tho because i cant see people buying a new device and running it over with there car i only did this for testing purposes for the review.
I have seen that some people have been lead to believe that the device is water proof, well i can tell you that it is not, It is more of a splash proof the water proof code is ipx1 that means it is protected against falling water equivalent to 3-5mm rainfall per minute for 10 minutes, so its more of a case that you can use it in the rain for a few minutes and not have to worry about it, i tried running it under the shower for about 2 minutes, took it out and opened it up, i found that there was some water in the battery compartment, I took the battery out and dried it off popped the battery back in and all seems to work perfectly fine, i don't think there is any kind of seal on the battery compartment so i wouldn't go throwing it in any water on purpose.
The device is variable voltage and variable wattage it runs from 3-15 watts in .5 increments and 3-6 vaults in .1 increments, To change between the two settings you have to press the + button and then the power button and hold for 3 seconds that will put the device in wattage mode to change to vaults you press the - button and power button for 3 seconds, the buttons are really easy to press you can also lock the volt/watt up and down by pressing and holding the + - for 8 seconds and 8 seconds again to unlock.
The e-Lvt has a 3 click on 3 click off and the 3 different colored lights to represent the power of your battery, green for full orange for half way and red for needing charge similar to the innokin products it also has the similar beauty ring on top to protect the 510 and ego threading, you can also press and hold the + - button together and this will tell you the voltage of the battery it also has a 10 second cut off for safety if the button is pressed by accident.
It says that the device has a load limit of 5 amps, i have been running a kayfun on it with a 1.4 ohm coil and it seems to handle it perfectly if you press the + - button it tells you the ohm load of the coil your running i have found that this can vary slightly, The e-Lvt also has a handy quite powerful torch on the bottom, You have to hold the - button for 3 seconds and it switches on and the same again to turn it off, i found it really handy for rebuilding when i have dropped screws etc, It is quite a heavy device, i would say its slightly lighter than the innokin VTR,
Overall i would say that it is really good well made device for your construction worker or builder as it is a really strong and sturdy device that wont be broken easily, it would also be good for camping trips etc for charging your mobile phone or tablet.
if you would like to purchase one of these devices you can contact dovpo directly at www.dovpoecig.com the delivery time was fantastic it arrived by dhl in 3 days.
Thank you for taking time out to ready my review, if anyone has any questions at all feel free too comment or message me and i would be more than happy to help you
