currently available for $29.94 at Youde goliath V2 RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer 5.1ml Capacity E Cigarette Dual / Single Coil-27.99 and Free Shipping| GearBest.com
This is the 2nd version of the Goliath tank series with some differences between the first version including the juice control ring being flush with the tank, the rebuildable deck being slightly larger, the airholes on the base being larger, the heatsinks at the top no longer present, drip tip included this time amongst a few other things.
The tank uses a rebuildable section as well as pre made coils. It came with 2 pre made coil heads in the package both rated at 0.5 ohm. The coil head has been decent to use, keeps up with wicking towards 40w but can get a bit warm even at full airflow. There were no dry hits experienced though and no muting of flavor. The pre made head has a unique feature which is that it is encased in a ceramic cup, its also 2 dual coils sat next to eachother horizontally with a large air hole underneath. The coil head can be rebuilt fairly easily too like other simple coil heads, just make sure to be careful with the ceramic cup as its quite thin and can be cracked, but should be fine with some care.
The tank itself is made of 304 stainless steel and has a pyrex glass tank with a spare in the kit. The tank can hold 5ml of eliquid. The 510 is non adjustable and made of copper with a possible stainless steel coating, its quite a long 510 however so may not sit flush on every mod, it seems to be mainly that theres more threading than some other tanks 510s rather than the center pin protruding more. The chimney section is all one piece too and holds the top of the tank together with threading. It threads over the rba section or pre built coil heads too and has notches on the side to keep it place when the ring above the juice control is attached. You can unscrew the base section of the tank to get to the build deck or coil head similar to the other sub tanks. It has a unique filling feature being that you can open or close the juice control ring and when unscrewed from the base can fill through one of the slots.
When filling through the slots there can sometimes be juice coming back above the fill slot which could seep into the airhole. This seems to happen if air gets stuck in the tank with juice blocking the slots off. Just blow through the slots to clear the slots out if this happens. Its best filled with a needle nose or syringe, though the dripper bottles could also be used. You could also top fill by unscrewing the top cap after shutting off the juice flow, however you have to be careful that the glass tank does not slip off whilst doing this as its just pressed into the o-rings.
A unique feature to this tank is inside the drip tip and chimney section, a spiralling design carved into these 2 pieces on the inside which is supposed to create a vortex effect of the vapor and improve flavor.
When rebuilding using the rba deck, the screws are decent as they don't cut the wire, even with the thinner wires. Also theres a fair bit of room with the two post design and large enough wire holes. Theres 2 airholes beneath each coil as its initially aimed at dual coiling, however it comes with a 2 part accessory used to block off the other airhole and corresponding juice channels as well as to reduce the chamber too for a single coil to be installed. I tried an awg 30 coil at around 1.8ohms for a mtl vape with the 2nd airhole and juice channels closed off and a fair bit of cotton to reduce it further and it seemed to be nice with a good throat hit. Also reduced the airflow down to one of the smallest settings and was good at low watts. You could even use narrower bore drip tips for this kind of vape as there was not too much heat generated.
So far it seems like a good, well made tank, the parts fit together well, though the o-rings could do with some pg over them so some parts don't stick especially removing the base section. Some edges of metal can be a bit sharp too but not too bad. The tank came free of any machine oil. Its been much easier to work with than the original goblin where you had to unscrew the bottom fill screw and it would take ages to fill. Also the build deck is easier to work with as it appears wider. Just make sure the coil is not touching the inside of the chimney on the rba section when screwing it back together. The rba can be a bit trickier than the goblin to get the hang off as far as wicking though as the channels are so large with a very small ledge to rest the cotton on. Luckily its easy to get to the coil again and change things if you end up putting too much cotton or the cotton doesnt sit properly after screwing the tank on and you don't have to empty out the juice too.
