This is a personal review of a product I either bought or received free of charge. The opinions expressed here represent my own and not those of this website, planetofthevapes.co.uk, m'lud
10 juice samples in plastic teats that Lady Gaga might possibly adorn her pet cat with, 70/30 VG/PG mix, plumes of vapour still making it hard to see as I type, I vaped these in one sitting, so, GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, anyway, first time on these juices, a free sample from Royal Vapour, go them, and also a first with using a 306 atomizer, cisco, with an SS cannon drip tip, on a GG Paps 18350, yay, I reckon I could get into these 306's, it was leaking here and there, but I was abusing it a fair bit, cotton bud's at the ready, but as the Special Ambassador to the West on Trade, Culture and Tourism for Czechoslovakia, as it was then known, Frank Zappa, once said, "Meatloaf, don't let your meat loaf", on with the review:
The Natural Selection:
Being Cherry, Apple, Forest Fruit, Raspberry, and Blackcurrant, none of these were obnoxious, all of them had a chance of lacking flavour due to the high pg content, but they all came through, admittedly this was by being dripped on to a 306, but anyway, many apple juices that I tried that are just apples are piss weak, in my opinion, they really need to be a part of a mix to stand out, I do not know why the manufacturers are timid toward the apple flavour, do they fear the apple? Probably not, but the apple was distinct here, without blowing my mind, it was like a regular carton of apple juice from a supermarket apple, and that isn't a bad thing, as such.
Blackcurrant was a bit flat, it's taste should reach a bit higher, but it was the average side of okay, I mixed a bit with the apple, and that worked nicely.
Cherry smelt like Bakewell tart as a liquid, and carried on that muted cherry taste as a vape, which I didn't mind, still better than a sickly artificial sweet terrorisation, a relaxed vape, maybe could do with a bit more oopmh, and call it a cherry bakewell, it doesn't come over as a cherry cherry, and people would go for a cherry bakewell anyway.
Forest Fruit was like...fruits...of...the...hmmm?...forest...you see, again, the flavour is there, defo, still could have been more robust, but I will point out again that none of these tastes have the artificial sweetener type tastes you can experience, and that for me, is a bonus, so another pleasant vape that didn't knock my socks off, which is alright, considering the temperature.
Raspberry was a distinct raspberry taste, with all the positive points from above, I haven't experienced other raspberry juices to compare this too, but it was clean and fresh, and as far as the natural selection goes, what you mainly have are natural, clean, refreshing vapes to cleanse the palate if you've been going to hard on the rich sweets, or heavy tobacco's. None of these would be all dayers for me, but they are alright.
The Tobacco Selection:
Prime 66, now here is a puzzle, a lot of the time, even when they taste of primarily nuts or caramel, you can tell that the producer of a juice has smoked a cigarette at some point in their past, and you have an inkling of what they may be trying to strive for in the quest to achieve a tobacco type taste, but my initial impressions here were a nut covered in wax left beneath a layer of dust on the sunny windowsill on a cold day in a woodwork class that has been there for three years, and nobody knows where it came from, how it got there, whathaveyou, as Peter Andre might sing, "Woooooaahhhoooahhhahhaahhhharghhh, mysterious nut, I wanna get close to you, not really, thats close enough, thankssss".
Then it came to me, this is actually reminiscent of finding a pack of golden virginia, that has been down the back of a sofa for six to eighteen months, and you are so skint, that you smoke the dregs, and for some odd reason, it tastes like a drop or two of wax has gotten in there too, how did that happen, I don't know, thank god its giro day tomorrow.
Make a long story short, an impressive failure, I really don't know how they achieved it, but well done, mental.
Imperial Cherry, don't need to say much about this, apart from Prime 66 Bakewell Tart...no.
Arrakis, named after the planet of my birth, slightly perfumed, a tad more full-bodied than the other two tobacco's, maybe it just tasted good by comparison, but it was pleasant enough, no real ashy/smokey-ness going on, but perhaps a more characterful version of the standard Desert Ship type tobacco that is out there, erring more on the side of fragrance, than nuttiness, in that arena.
The Yummies Selection:
Mystic Cola, the mystic side of this is obviously the plumes of vapour that come out as vaped, all of these are pluming marvelous, matron, otherwise, it is cola, again, not sickly, a decent approximation of the cola experience, though perhaps too subtle for some, and speaking of subtle, let us go on to something that isn't, the star of the show, unexpectedly...
Nutty Dream, nuts, hazlenuts, I think, distinct, very distinct, natural, nuttiness, not a sign of artificiality to it, somebody came up and atomized a nut in my mouth, why, I don't know, but they did, and if this is a nutty dream, it is a lucid dream that demands to be noticed, well, it isn't negatively aggressive though, it just announces its presence and is noticed, and, it was noticed, and it's presence was enjoyed.
I liked it, I would have to be in the right frame of mind for it, but for all it's grandstanding, it is quite civilised.
Okay, thats the lot, I'm out.
p.s. Throat hit, it is there, is won't kill you, more of a smooth caress.
