Safety Question/ Doubts

I have just bought a SMOK Priv M17 and can't help worrying if it is safe. Worried it may explode or something and can't find much about it's safety features online. Seen alot about SMOK having a poor reputation but can't find any real information and just wanted see if anyone has guidance on this particular mod.

Hi @swgsouthwick and welcome to the planet.
smok had gone down hill in last couple of years on their QC but as this is a mouth to lung tank it could be different from all the high end high wattage kits.

You'll find a few that have had dodgy SMOK mods on here, but they are a huge company that sell a LOT of mods, so you'd be bound to find a few duds, especially on a help forum, but mostly just stopped working. As with any mod, look after it and don't leave it charging unattended.

From what i remember the issues stem from poor finishes and just dying out on their mods and short life spans on their coils.
No fire risks as i'm aware of.
I've heard some good reviews about the new coils though.

Only have one Smok Device and it's been great, i would recommend them maybe as a nice starter kit like you have, never heard of a mod blowing up or being a fire risk, do some research "Google is your friend" .

@ZT So Smok are a tad dangerous, i know you been vaping a while but were these with modern mods, not trying to make you look old honestly.

ive got the original cube and the cube ultra and 2 alien mods and all going strong still after 3-4 years.
aliens have been used daily in rotation sine i bought them and only issue for me is the paint peels off.
