I've been vaping for five years. I use both regular and salt nic. I have noticed that salt nicotine liquids kill my coils much faster. I have tried liquids from different manufacturers, with different salt nicotine content, at different wattages and on different devices. Salt nicotine liquids always turn my cotton and coils into a black mess within a week, while classic liquids leave almost no trace after a week of use. Has anyone experienced this? I can't find anything about it on the internet

I've personally not noticed a difference. But then my wick n coil need changing after only a tank or two, so maybe I wouldn't.

Are you using stock coils for the salts & if so what wattage ?

Me I mostly use stock coils in pods or aios usually around 19 watts & after 700 ISH puffs the coils & cotton ain't turned black , so what brand of salts you using as they are probably loaded with sweetener s to make yours turn black.

I use 70/30 nic salt sweet fruit juices exclusively and I haven`t noticed the effect you mention, I prime and run in my coils, keep my drags down to 3 seconds and cool the coil after each drag, along with letting the flavour indicate the wattage that I use rather than looking at what`s printed on the coil has stood me in good stead and allowed me to settle on the brand and rating of coil that I need for my vaping whilst extracting the max flavour from my juices.
